Kelly Clarkson’s Talk Show Likely Cancelled Amid Singer’s Rumored Exit
Rob Shuter exclusively learned that Kelly Clarkson’s talk show might not return in the fall of this year despite an extension.
There has been quite a buzz about the singer-host parting ways once her contract with the network ends in 2026, but the new report suggested that it could happen sooner rather than later.
The insider alleged that the Grammy winner has been handling multiple commitments. These include “juggling the talk show,” her “music” career, and “parenting” her two kids. “It finally caught up to her,” the source added, revealing that “she’s not coming back in the fall” this year. These claims surfaced despite NBC renewing the talk show for 2025-2026.

I never saw it but she had a good run. It’s not like she ever has to work a day in her life again so why not only do what makes her happy.

She found out how much Vanna White makes for doing absolutely nothing and wants in!

Is she having a mid-life crisis?
First, she calls in sick for several weeks and they sub in guest hosts.
Then, we hear she's having a "hard time" and extra emotional (about what, it was never really revealed).
Last weekend she postponed her Las Vegas residency for a week (we'll see if it's longer) because she wanted everything "just right" and doesn't want to damage her voice.
Now, she's allegedly not coming back to her show, even though her contract is through 2026.
What the fuck, Kelly?

She does seem unbalanced. When you watch her talk show, it is very clear that she is on anti-depressants at the very least, and possibly even psychotropic medication. She is probably bipolar.

R6 - I think you're right. She's way too 'up' and energetic all the time. There are very few people who are like that naturally - it usually is for public but behind the doors, they are sullen and temperamental.
It's been on since 2019 (!) - she's had over 1000 shows. I'm sure it gets old.
I just don't know what she'll be doing though. Her music career is over. She's not on The Voice or have a show.
She could have pulled back a long time ago.

r7 what makes you comment that her music career is "over?" Just curious.
I think she's a great singer and I don't know why someone's career should be "over" just because they are getting older and they're not on "The Voice" or one of those stupid talent shows.

And yes, I KNOW that "one of those stupid talent shows" is how she found her fame; regardless, SHE'S TALENTED. She hasn't lost her voice.

If she can stop doing silly TV shows she can spend her time on writing and recording.

R8 - she hasn't had a record or hit in years. Most pop stars 'age out' in their early 40s from pop music.
I agree - I love her voice. It's a superb voice for pop and she had a lot of great songs. But is current music the environment for her now?
She should try with one more album and maybe a tour. But even Pink can't get her songs played - her last 3 albums didn't crack the top 50.
Like it or not, there is a prejudice against older pop stars. Remember Kylie's Padam Padam - it never got out of minimal rotation even though it was a huge online and dance hit.

She’s in a tough spot because, on one hand, if I had all her money, I would not want to be doing a daily talk show. The concerts would be enough.
But she needs that daily talk show to nurture her fan base so she can sell tickets when she has concerts.
