It's like the characters from "Less Than Zero" grew up, moved to Plano, and said "MORE!"

That is an interesting house! The decor is giving young Persian doctor.

I kind of like this PoMo monstrosity. At least it's attempting...something. Better than this repeated ad infinitum.

Ok I take back my first comment—the owner is an old Boomer from NJ and his Dallas second wife. So the house is less Persian doctor and more Weekend at Bernie’s. They actually seem sweet from their online stuff. Second marriage for both. Probably downsizing

The interior is disappointing given the interesting exterior.

Wow - "And I decorated it all myself!" - yes, we can tell.

Holy shit - I'm not saying you can't find tacky in other states, but Texas really takes the cake.

So much wrong.

Apparently it says a 24 year old owns it - Ryan Hodges? R3 - I think that's the old owner, Simpson. Maybe it's his son that lives there now? Last sold in 2016, so something weird.

I admire the commitment to gaudiness, if that’s a word.

This could be a fun Airbnb.

Just one more example of the fact that money doesn't equal taste. Apparently, examples abound in Texas.

by Anonymousreply 8July 7, 2025 7:28 PM

We’ve seen worse here. There’s at least one price of art that I would own. But it’s definitely not my taste.

by Anonymousreply 9July 7, 2025 8:06 PM

All that money and the most boring staircase imaginable.

by Anonymousreply 10July 7, 2025 8:29 PM

Those windows would make it bake inside. Texas is hot and muggy.

Raze it.
