All those little girls were from rich and influential families, not the kind of trailer trash that usually dies in these type of catastrophes.
This flood is really sticky shit for Trump ismt it
by Anonymous | reply 60 | July 9, 2025 11:31 PM |
It will be forgotten in a week, OP. 90 other distractions will pop up to ensure that. Armies of trolls and AI bots flooding social media will ensure that. The mainstream corpmedia pivoting to every new brainless talking point will ensure that. Pay attention. Nothing is normal anymore and Trump is never held accountable by anyone.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | July 7, 2025 3:57 PM |
I don't think so. He'll make a proclamation if he hasn't yet done so, and create a national remembrance day, making those kids into Christian martyrs in the process. No one will be talking about this a year from now.
He's on his second term, staging one of the greatest comebacks in American history, and people *still* underestimate the power of his teflon.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | July 7, 2025 3:57 PM |
His cult of morons are engaging in massive gaslighting to cope with the cognitive dissonance they’re feeling.
Remember, cultists happily die for the cult leader. They will never be swayed.

Truth is, Camp Mystic is for rich Jeebus girlies and has been for generations. Rich, WHITE Jeebus girlies.

As if he’d give a shirt
by Anonymous | reply 5 | July 7, 2025 8:08 PM |
He kept partying with the hired wife in DC while those girls were being swept away in the floods. Then he took off the next day for Bedminster for another golfing weekend. I would think some of his followers may find this a dealbreaker but who knows.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | July 7, 2025 8:19 PM |
It should be a millstone around his neck, just was Hurricane Katrina was for Dubya.
But it won't be. His cult doesn't care, the media will move on to the next shiny object Trump dangles in front of them, and the Dems are too timid to press it.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | July 7, 2025 8:19 PM |
Has he said anything yet that sounds remotely compassionate?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | July 7, 2025 8:21 PM |
Why would those rich parents send their kids to a camp built in a flood plain??? I don't understand the stupidity.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | July 7, 2025 9:42 PM |
^Paging Mrs. Patsy Ramsey, formerly of Boulder, CO...
by Anonymous | reply 10 | July 7, 2025 9:52 PM |
We don't do compassion around here r8. Why would we?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | July 7, 2025 9:53 PM |
A rich girls' camp, built in what is widely known as Flash Flood Alley. Years of drought in the Hill Country have made the soil there so hard, that water doesn't soak in. Yeah, and so the Darwin award goes to . . . // A system of warning sirens was voted down because of prohibitive costs. Cell service is spotty in this hilly area, so you'd think they'd have found a way, somehow, to get a system of warning sirens in place, somehow. But, no . . . I have no kids and no attachment to this camp, but the tragedy is really heavy and awful-feeling. There is a family in the neighborhood that lost a girl to the flood that ripped through Camp Mystic. The ribbons tied on anything that stands still are a near-constant reminder of what just happened. Very, very sad. And so very preventable.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | July 8, 2025 3:27 PM |
The next camp along managed to evacuate safely, so there was clearly incompetence and complacency involved.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | July 8, 2025 3:42 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 14 | July 8, 2025 4:49 PM |
An over 20 ft. wall of water is not normal.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | July 8, 2025 5:04 PM |
I don't understand why God would let this happen to good Christians. Further evidence that God is indeed an atheist.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | July 8, 2025 5:17 PM |
It's less about warning sirens than the cuts to the national weather service in this area that made predicting the weather than caused the flood less accurate. Trump should definitely pay a price for this.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | July 8, 2025 5:34 PM |
[quote]Has he said anything yet that sounds remotely compassionate?
Trump will always be a narcissistic asshole who is incapable of showing any empathy or compassion.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | July 8, 2025 5:52 PM |
The OP’s post is offensive.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | July 8, 2025 6:22 PM |
What? King Donald is doing a fabulous job. Abortion is a terrible thing so he's finding other ways to kill children without it appearing intentional. At least they got to enjoy childhood a bit before meeting our glorious Lord & Savior.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | July 8, 2025 6:37 PM |
He doesn't give less than a shit and this is why it will dog him and haunt him despite the 24/7 distraction machine and whatever he will do to distract and deflect. The media will keep asking about it because the kids were from wealthy families. Period . Plus because local state and federal failures caused this, there are lots of Republican asses on the line and lots of angry parents. The parents of these children are not without resources and the media will cover it differently had they been lower income families.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | July 8, 2025 6:49 PM |
I am waiting for his tweet:
Kids drown. I am nominated for the Noble Piece Prize.....priorities, media.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | July 8, 2025 6:51 PM |
It could very well dog him r21, but I would absolutely start by dogging every Texas Republican that voted for the big shitty bill and every Texas republican that has supported the whole shitty Trump Cult agenda. They are the ones most concerned and they are the ones who are most easily dogged by this. Trump can dance around talking about all his other stupid shit and nonsense, but his whores and acolytes in the Texas congressional contingent really will find it harder to explain away their complete lack of interest in warnings and weather service. And they will discover what everyone discovers: the Trump rules only apply to Trump himself.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | July 8, 2025 6:55 PM |
Just curious (though I know it's true)--why does the media care if they're from poor or rich Texas families? What's in it for the media to cover rich kids' deaths more thoroughly?
by Anonymous | reply 24 | July 8, 2025 7:16 PM |
Because r24 rich people have more cultural and political power. They have the connections and influence and resources to mourn aggresive legal battles against government and private entities who that have identified as negligent etc
by Anonymous | reply 25 | July 8, 2025 7:43 PM |
This is what the shitgibbon is worried about. He couldn't care less.

Whom will he blame on Fri when he does his photo op in Texas? Biden? Musk? Patti LuPone?
by Anonymous | reply 27 | July 8, 2025 11:19 PM |
On 1/6/21, Donald Trump attempted to overthrow the US government and its Constitution with a violent confrontation. He has yet to suffer a single consequence for his actions.
Does OP seriously think letting some kids die in Bumfucke, Texas will have any serious consequences for him?
by Anonymous | reply 28 | July 8, 2025 11:36 PM |
[quote] Trump should definitely pay a price for this.
But he won't. He gets away with everything. We can only hope he strokes out or dies.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | July 8, 2025 11:39 PM |
It would be great if this turned out to be Trump's version of Hurricane Katrina the way it helped take down George W. Bush and the Republicans, but so far Trump has shown he has a more solid & loyal base than Bush did.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | July 9, 2025 7:38 AM |
If Biden (or Harris) was POTUS they'd be calling for their impeachment. But when you mention sirens, weather reports, warnings, climate change and evacuations to MAGAts... they just urge you to pray.

Because they are geniuses with enviable foresight.

Oh please. Like Mrs. Ramsey would leave it to the hope that a once-a-century calamity would happen to strike. Might as well count on a lightning strike.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | July 9, 2025 10:53 AM |
They would drown their own children intentionally to please Trump. This won’t hurt him. Signalgate, which should have been the biggest scandal in history, didn’t hurt him and everyone forgot in like three days. He’s invincible.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | July 9, 2025 12:37 PM |
R24 Americans instinctually believe in the prosperity gospel - wealth results from good character, poverty results from low character. Bad things aren’t supposed to happen to rich people, because rich people are inherently kind, good, and blessed by god.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | July 9, 2025 12:38 PM |
[quote]What's in it for the media to cover rich kids' deaths more thoroughly?
Do you need the stigma of poverty explained to you? Or the inherently superficial and sensationalist practices of 21st century mainstream media?
I guess so? Here goes. Take notes.
Poor people are generally disliked in capitalistic societies and blamed for their lot in life. They have few or no resources by definition. In a world where money equals power, they lack both.
The media decides what news to cover based on how much "engagement" it will create, "engagement" meaning ratings or page views or "likes." The average media consumer has the intelligence and reading skills of a 5th grader. So the media spoon feeds "stories" to their low-information audience based on the emotional response it will have that will spur engagement.
Poor people are depressing and create negative feelings. They're also usually unattractive, lacking access to healthy food or being unable to afford basic needs like professional haircuts or new, unsoiled clothing. They live in rundown living spaces in bad neighborhoods.
Poor people just don't make "good TV" or sell newspapers or "go viral" unless it's something really exploitative.

by Anonymous | reply 38 | July 9, 2025 1:55 PM |
Trump will just blame Biden and his mouth-breathing followers will lap it up. Or, if things actually do get heated, surprise! A story will come out that some immigrant killed a pretty white girl to distract from this mess.

In the article on Page 2, "More than 160 Missing after Deadly Texas Floods," Governor Abbot said about trump, "He could not stop talking abut how sad he was for the little girls who lost their lives."
Creepy, considering his history of exploiting underage girls with his pal Epstein. Rapist, pervert, user and abuser asshole-in-chief.

by Anonymous | reply 48 | July 9, 2025 5:09 PM |
No, r48. The FBI came out and said there actually is no Epstein list, he 100% committed suicide, and there would be no further investigations into any of it. MAGA QAnon cultists are PISSED
