I liked the first wonder woman movie with Gal Gadot an awful lot. It was a really good movie.

But I think she’s otherwise right.

What she's really saying is...

"I won an Academy Award for Monster and was nominated for North Country and Bombshell, not to mention BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations. Now no one is offering me those parts anymore. Now I'm stuck doing these action movies that no one wants to see. Has everyone forgotten who I AM???"

She states, "Action films with female leads don’t get green lit as much as the ones with male leads." emphasis on *films*. Not TV series from early aughts.

She is right about action films with female leads not getting greenlit as much as males, especially ones that did not come from an established IP, which a good number of the female lid action films of the recent past were("Tomb Raider", "Wanted", "The Old Guard" and "Ghost in the Shell").

There are exceptions, like Black Widow or Alien, but movie audiences - especially men - do not want to see an action film led by a woman. They keep trying but they don't work. Plus she's 50 and not a box office star anymore, which is why she is on Netflix where they will put any old crap on.

Men watch action movies because they fantasize being the lead. They want to be what they see. They want to be Bourne or Wick. They do not identify with most female leads, except on rare occasions such as with the assassins in Kill Bill, Ripley, etc.
