She came from a batshit crazy family. Her father was closeted and died of AIDS, her mother was a religious nut. Ann’s book read like Roseanne wrote it. All fuck ups.

Her accident was 60 years to the day after MM's death.

It's really weird how people can seen well and function at a high level for a time when they're young, but mental illness and trauma are there still, and with age they often get much worse very quickly.

Anne Heche's final moments were sad and grisly, but perhaps unavoidable in some way. She seemed unwell for quite awhile leading up to this.

I've always thought her death was extremely strange, but given how utterly bizarre her life was, in a weird way, it is fitting.
