WTF I just had this cheap ass vodka delivered and i didn’t order it

It is someone else’s order and I kept telling the delivery guy I didn’t order it but he kept saying to take it and show ID. I realized it’s probably someone else’s order but I don’t have their name or apartment. I told him I don’t drink this super cheap shit.

I will wait to see if someone finds out i have it and come knocking (it’s happened before) and if not will keep it I guess. This vodka is nasty though if my memory is right. I remember drinking it in college and finding it repulsive even then. I am all for trying different cheap vodkas but it can’t taste cheap. Tito’s is a good price and tastes great. Stoli and LVOV are good too. They couldn’t splurge a few more bucks for one of those?!

Looks like bootleg vodka.

by Anonymousreply 1July 4, 2025 10:06 PM

"Premium" "100% neutral grain spirit" "5x distilled" OH MY SIDES

Make homemade Kahlua with it and save yourself money.

I had some nasty food delivered with my groceries. Like cheese wiz and pepperoni. I tried to give it back to the delivery driver but he said I had to take it. I gave it to the first person I saw who wanted it

by Anonymousreply 3July 4, 2025 10:28 PM

Is the bottle plastic?

by Anonymousreply 4July 4, 2025 10:29 PM

There are some household uses for cheap vodka. Do you have any weed pipes that need cleaning?

R4 YES! I forgot to mention how my first thought was “I’ve never seen vodka in a plastic bottle”

by Anonymousreply 6July 4, 2025 10:42 PM

I've often seen brands like Smirnoff in plastic 12 oz / 375ml bottles.

by Anonymousreply 7July 4, 2025 10:58 PM

OP not sure if you bake at home much...but...buy a load of vanilla beans and steep them in some of that vodka (siphon off to a smaller seperate bottle) to make vanilla essence. Girly I know (I love baking, so slap me).

by Anonymousreply 8July 4, 2025 11:08 PM

One of my sisters used it as a hair rinse for a while.

by Anonymousreply 9July 4, 2025 11:14 PM

Man, you'd better pour that shit the drain STAT! People are fucking nuts out here, doing all kinds of crazy shit and getting away with it. Get rid of it, OP.

by Anonymousreply 10July 4, 2025 11:24 PM

Only 40% alcohol? What's the point?

by Anonymousreply 11July 4, 2025 11:26 PM

Put a few sprigs of rosemary in a spray bottle, fill bottle with vodka, put in fridge for 3-4 weeks, then use as a scalp rinse/tonic for hair. It's really good.

by Anonymousreply 12July 4, 2025 11:31 PM

Looks like a seacow hand

by Anonymousreply 13July 4, 2025 11:35 PM

This thread reminded me that I need to get some mid shelf Vodka to make some Limoncello.

Thank you, dear.

by Anonymousreply 14July 5, 2025 12:13 AM

Put it in a spray bottle and use it to freshen clothes you'd normally send for dry cleaning.

It's a Broadway costumer's secret.

by Anonymousreply 15July 5, 2025 12:29 AM

Isn't there a good pasta sauce made with vodka?

I've used it for Bananes Flambées instead of rum. Just add brown sugar.

by Anonymousreply 16July 5, 2025 12:35 AM

Yeah, cheap vodka has a lot of uses.

The clothes trick is a good one. You just need a clean spray bottle.

by Anonymousreply 17July 5, 2025 5:40 AM

What do you mean you HAD to take it? Obviously, you wanted to take it otherwise you’d have said no and shut your door.

by Anonymousreply 18July 5, 2025 6:33 AM

Is there a nearby homeless person you could give it to?

I agree there are a lot of household uses for it, though. My BF uses cheap vodka to strip varnish from old paintings.

by Anonymousreply 19July 5, 2025 11:24 AM

Consider it a little thank you gift from the Datalounge.

by Anonymousreply 20July 5, 2025 11:30 AM

That driver is going to get fired for messing up an alcohol delivery lol, the rules around that are extremely strict.

by Anonymousreply 21July 5, 2025 12:00 PM

r21 "lol"

Oh, dear.

by Anonymousreply 22July 5, 2025 2:05 PM

I’ve never even heard of that brand

by Anonymousreply 23July 5, 2025 2:55 PM

They use plastic for cheap, smaller bottles so that they won't break when the homeless drop them.

At least that's what a friend who works in the industry once told me.

by Anonymousreply 24July 5, 2025 2:58 PM

you're a whore, OP

All that’s missing from this especially scintillating tale is the sex with the hawt delivery guy.

by Anonymousreply 27July 5, 2025 3:01 PM

It's produced in Brighton, Michigan. Lest you think this is some foreign trash.

by Anonymousreply 28July 5, 2025 3:08 PM

OP you in danger, gurl

by Anonymousreply 29July 5, 2025 3:12 PM

What if that vodka was supposed to go to a member of the Russian mafia?

by Anonymousreply 30July 5, 2025 3:16 PM

It seems to be one that's better in a mixed drink than sipping/shots. If you want one to avoid, Total Wine aggressively shills Starr brand vodka. Huge NO!

by Anonymousreply 31July 5, 2025 3:18 PM

R22 I already had you blocked dork

by Anonymousreply 32July 5, 2025 3:21 PM

Film/tv costume people use vodka in a sprayer to clean vintage costumes that cannot be laundered or dry cleaned.

by Anonymousreply 33July 5, 2025 3:21 PM

R24, you don’t want broken glass around drunks no matter what their social standing. I knew a pair of hardcore alcoholics who lived in a particularly posh apartment; I was shocked the first time I went into their dining room and saw at least thirty plastic bottles of vodka stacked up against the wall.

by Anonymousreply 34July 5, 2025 3:30 PM

[Quote] I had some nasty food delivered with my groceries. Like cheese wiz and pepperoni. I tried to give it back to the delivery driver but he said I had to take it. I gave it to the first person I saw who wanted it

Oh that was you? I had a small, chubby man in a Hawaiian shirt and shorts approach me holding a can of cheez wiz and insisting that I take it.

The top had been removed and it clearly had been tampered with. I fled.

by Anonymousreply 35July 5, 2025 3:34 PM

OMG, OP, have you alerted the media??

by Anonymousreply 36July 5, 2025 3:34 PM

Much better than that, r36, he alerted the DATALOUNGE!

by Anonymousreply 37July 5, 2025 3:36 PM

Before you take a sip, will you put my name in your will?

by Anonymousreply 38July 5, 2025 3:40 PM

r32 How'd that work out for you?

by Anonymousreply 39July 5, 2025 4:14 PM

You can't really tell the difference. I was told this by a bartender. Esp if you're using it to mix cocktails

by Anonymousreply 40July 5, 2025 4:17 PM

R40 a lot of people say that but I disagree. Some vodka’s are very smooth and barely have flavor. Some have a strong, bitter taste and burn.

by Anonymousreply 41July 5, 2025 4:42 PM

I’d wait three days and drink it.
