I figure it’ll be filled with tech bros
Will you join Musk’s new Political Party?

Great reference link, dumbass.

I'd rather join a Russian roulette club. Didn't Andrew Yang attempt something similar a few years ago with his Forward Party? WHET that vanity project?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | July 2, 2025 4:32 PM |
I’m sure there are so many fascist, white supremacist libertarians in favor of massive government subsidies for favored companies that the Democrats and Republicans won’t know what hit them.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | July 2, 2025 4:34 PM |
He can call it the Troll Party.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | July 2, 2025 4:35 PM |
I'm looking for a new hobby so I might join. If nothing else it'll be fodder for DL.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | July 2, 2025 4:54 PM |
Klub Ketamine
by Anonymous | reply 7 | July 2, 2025 6:07 PM |
This might actually hit with Trump. The sons have been courting the tech sector hard and this could kibash their hope for a dynasty.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | July 2, 2025 6:33 PM |
No, he’s disgusting
by Anonymous | reply 9 | July 2, 2025 7:47 PM |
If it splits votes off of the MAGAts during the midterms, it will be wonderful. Now, we just need to make sure that the progressives don't split from the Dems.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | July 6, 2025 12:21 AM |
Ross Perot was a better option
by Anonymous | reply 11 | July 6, 2025 12:28 AM |
Yes I will. Anything is better than the two shit options we have now.

Five fucking times! Da fuck is wrong with you R13 through R17?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | July 7, 2025 10:35 PM |
If Elan wants people to take his new party seriously, he should run a candidate against Zohran
by Anonymous | reply 19 | July 7, 2025 10:40 PM |
Only if it's a full on Fuck the Rich Party. Since it's Musk's project, it will be nothing of the sort and instead will focus on Third Way nonsense and fuckery and thus prove a completely useless and pointless "alternative."
Still, if it's just an excuse to call Trump and the Trump Cult a gang of assholes, constantly, well can't say I'd be sorry to see that.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | July 7, 2025 10:41 PM |
Absolutely not. But I am all for a third-party. If it will pull extreme voters and let other parties become more moderate without having to cater to the extreme, that will be great.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | July 7, 2025 10:41 PM |
Let’s see a party started by a Nazi billionaire white supremacist, who is high on drugs all the time and loves tax cuts for the rich and subsidies for the rich and wants us all to suffer for the economy so the rich can get richer. That’s a hard pass.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | July 7, 2025 10:45 PM |
Do you mean Trump, R22? I’m confused.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | July 7, 2025 10:53 PM |
Do you think Scaramucci and Cuban will be a part of it, R13-R17?
by Anonymous | reply 24 | July 7, 2025 11:04 PM |
R23 Musky is all those things. You’re being obtuse I hope.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | July 7, 2025 11:11 PM |
I think this party has better chances than Yang's or Perot's parties. He can buy three seats somewhere in Texas and buy both the Dakotas. The electorate is almost evenly split. Just five congress men would be quite a game changer.
The party may not have any staying power though. A party that's just against spending isn't really much of a party. There is no vision. And his goal to eliminate corruption is a bit - rich - considering how he funded the Republican 2025 campaign for lucrative government contracts.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | July 7, 2025 11:26 PM |
Him buying seats should scare the fuck out of everyone.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | July 7, 2025 11:44 PM |
He’s a retard.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | July 7, 2025 11:46 PM |
I wonder when he'll be deported
by Anonymous | reply 29 | July 7, 2025 11:54 PM |
This whole thing with "buying seats" is actually harder than it looks. It's more than just flooding the zone with some fucking stale and boring, nobody gives a shit, ads. I think there is still this assumption that that's all it takes (I think it was actually part of Andrew Cuomo's problem, that kind of stale old campaign thinking). But really, there's a lot of competition for attention these days, a ton of competition really. And you pretty much need some actual message, some actual reason anybody is giving a shit in the first place. The old idea of just get some asshole, his boring wife and his stupid kids and a rented dog on the big front lawn in a TV ad and you're halfway there. Those days are long gone.
And does anybody think that some clown hired by this big fake party with some purposely vague nonsense about "spending, ew" and "regulation, yikes" and please can we get rid of all the brown people, but maybe a tiny bit more nicely, is just gonna be same old, tired, stale and hopelessly boring Republicanism. In other words, why is anybody switching from the cult to this new party? And if not, than the Cult is just going to win all the current Trumpista districts and states, so again, why bother?
Perot had an actual issue, the free trade obsession and how it was fucking everyone over. He was ahead of his time. The big problem with all the "exciting" "centrist" parties since then is they tend to have nothing but mush. Some boring, meaningless crap about the deficit and all its alleged horrors that just turns into some typical nonsense about killing social programs while constantly agonizing about rich people's tax rates.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | July 8, 2025 12:05 AM |
Elon says that his new party will protect gun-rights and be pro bit coin. Those are supposedly the first two non-negotiable principles.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | July 8, 2025 12:18 AM |
Yeah, you need real issues. Like Jewish space lasers?
by Anonymous | reply 32 | July 8, 2025 12:21 AM |
So pro gun deaths and pro bullshit scams. Off to a great start.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | July 8, 2025 12:22 AM |
Elon is on the spectrum. Come on guys. Trump is weird enough.
Musk is over the top.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | July 8, 2025 12:23 AM |
R30 Buying seats is much easier than people think. Christian Nationalist Billionaires took over the tx lege easily. I imagine it is being done elsewhere. They put in the most radical conservatives they can find. They’ve taken over radio stations and local TV stations and turned them into OAN for rural America. That’s one of the big reasons why they’ve become so Rudy Red.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | July 8, 2025 1:50 AM |
“Pro bit coin” ?
by Anonymous | reply 36 | July 8, 2025 2:26 AM |
But was anybody not voting for exactly the kind of assholes they always vote for anyway r35? Gun nuts, Christian fanatics and hypocrites, slaves and whores of the rich and powerful, with a bunch of just full on cranks and fools for a little variety? Isn't that every red state legislature for decades now?
The OAN and radio and TV stations is significant though. And in fact, I'm sure there are ways for Elon to use the big propaganda outlet he has, namely X, and maybe add more. But so far, it really doesn't sound like he's doing more than offering the usual wingnut bullshit, and since they already have that with Trump, I'm not sure there will be anybody switching to him or what difference it would make. I admit it's early days though, so maybe this won't just be the kind of "centrist" party that is really just another wingnut party.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | July 8, 2025 3:05 AM |
R37 No. they put in extremely crazy right wing people that they can absolutely control. Before that was not the case. The representatives were very conservative, but they would break from the party on certain issues like vouchers. And then the billionaire swept in and got rid of a lot of them. It’s in a documentary called ‘deep in the pockets of Texas.” I suggest you check it out. it’s pretty scary.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | July 8, 2025 3:52 AM |
No.
If he were sincere in wanting to help humanity and made it possible to do so within a specific timeline that was detailed and honored, I’d consider it.
The above stated, he’s NOT stupid, & he made a VERY deliberate decision to affiliate himself to a party of CLOWNS, in order to advance his own interests and agenda, AND MOST HORRIFICALLY, decimated USAID, without NOTHING set in place of this agency, which allowed and is allowing MANY to die a slow and gruesome death, for NOTHING.
He did NOT have to do that. He did NOT have to fuck sick and starving people and children over.
That right there, 👆🏽, in and of itself, makes me and MANY others reach the conclusion that Musk gives ZERO fucks about the most vulnerable among us.
Unless he makes a VERY PUBLIC and VERIFIABLE effort to fix what he did to those affected by his DOGE ‘cuts’, he can go fuck himself.
You wanna be the a billionaire that changes the game?
OK - fine.
First, show us you’re the billionaire with a fucking HEART, or fuck right off with the rest of them.
This is the BEST advice he will EVER get, whether he realizes it or not.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | July 8, 2025 4:17 AM |
His gun control position is one reason (of many) that it won't get off the ground. His premise is that 80% of us basically feel the same way, and it's the nutty fringes on both sides that are dominating each party. But we are more divided than that. Eighty percent of us don't all have the same stance on gun control and many other topics.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | July 8, 2025 4:48 AM |
Nah, I'm good. It's funny how Trump is against a third party now when he actively flirted with Ross Perot's party in the early 2000s.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | July 8, 2025 4:59 AM |
I look forward to this "centrist" party's outreach to the left.
Just kidding. There won't be any.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | July 8, 2025 4:07 PM |
R18 Give him a break. Muriel was on the rag this morning.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | July 8, 2025 4:52 PM |
I'm fine with that, R42. I'm thinking they may peel off a good chunk of crypto bros, Rogan douches, MRAs, and their ilk from the GOP 2024 base. Trump succeeded because he managed to create a big tent coalition of social miscreants of all kinds, often with very differing (and conflicting) motivations. This vanity project will likely cut into that.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | July 8, 2025 5:30 PM |
That would be fine too r44. My guess is Elon will get bored with the whole thing sooner rather than later, or until it gets him some stupid Shitweasel Summit and glorious reunion with Trump, but if he does stick it out and can pull some douchebag votes in some key districts, I agree that would be great.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | July 8, 2025 5:34 PM |
Ellen will need high profile, credible people to join up and support her. And Portia doesn't count.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | July 8, 2025 5:41 PM |
You still get a WW R48 even though you should have signed in "Rose Nylund".
by Anonymous | reply 47 | July 8, 2025 5:46 PM |
Like every rich drug addict Elon has a lot of fleeting ideas. He will lose interest in this in about three days.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | July 8, 2025 5:49 PM |
If Elon was really smart, he'd just snatch the Republican Party away from Trump. It's for sale.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | July 8, 2025 6:42 PM |
Not enough people in the Republican party like him. He is still an alien after all, so not the white pure breed they want.
And all that less-government talk: They probably believe Musk that he really would fight for that. But Republicans only SAY they want less government. They actually love government involvement. At this point I'd say even the pretense is gone. They want government meddle in everything as long as it is their meddling.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | July 8, 2025 7:59 PM |
Then there's the occasional idea he won't let go of no matter how stupid it is, like how he renamed Twitter and named his Department of Tearing Down Oversight Agencies.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | July 8, 2025 8:06 PM |
Democrats are suppose to be the viable alternative. But they won’t get beyond creating new memorials to George Floyd and turning Kilmar Abrego Garcia into something equivalent to a rock star.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | July 8, 2025 8:53 PM |
Yes, this is a thing that is happening. Constant new memorials to George Floyd. Yes, iz true. Iz way that Democrats always do. Nonstop. Love of George Floyd. Always.
Why can't they just love torturing immigrants to death in El Salvador? Why that not Democratic Party good think? Why?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | July 8, 2025 9:45 PM |
Elon’s a fucking choad
by Anonymous | reply 54 | July 8, 2025 9:52 PM |
Elon is really not smart. He is opening himself up to any snake oil salesman who can convince him they know how to get this done.
