Arizona's progressive lion Raul Grijalva died recently, leaving his congressional seat vacant and opening up a special election to fill it.
Recently bounced DNC vice chair David Hogg is pushing Gen Z influencer Deja Foxx for the seat. But the local Democrats are gathering behind Adelita Grijalva, the old man's daughter and a former county commissioner. Ms. Foxx, 25, argues that her youth and fresh perspective will be an asset to the district. Grijalva, 54, argues that she knows the district and has years of on-the-ground experience. Hogg's group is funding ads and polls to boost Foxx's standing ahead of the July primary.
