She’ll be playing Jennette McCurdy’s stage mother from hell.
Could this be Jennifer Aniston’s Mommie Dearest?

Book synopsis
Jennette McCurdy, best known for her role as Sam on iCarly, recounts a childhood controlled by her overbearing and narcissistic mother, Debra. From a young age, Jennette was pushed into acting to fulfill her mother’s unrealized Hollywood dreams. Debra imposed severe restrictions on her, including calorie counting, forced diets, and ongoing infantilization, even showering Jennette into her teens.
As Jennette’s fame grew, so did her inner turmoil. Behind the scenes of her seemingly bubbly on-screen persona, she battled eating disorders, anxiety, and identity confusion. Her mother’s obsession with stardom extended to controlling every facet of her life—including her friendships, career choices, and bodily autonomy.
The memoir also details Jennette’s experiences with “The Creator” (a veiled reference to Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider), who behaved inappropriately toward young actors. After Debra’s death from cancer, Jennette confronts the deep emotional scars left behind. She spirals before eventually seeking therapy and starting the painful but necessary process of reclaiming her life.

So she will actually play someone unlikable? She’s a bit old for the part but I liked the book and will watch.

R2 Yeah, I can see her knocking this one out of the park. She actually plays crazy bitches exceptionally well.

Jennifer Aniston had a bad relationship with her mom too, so I find this interesting.

I'm sure she'll be...fine in this. She's pretty limited as an actress; not bad, just not great. I watched the first episode of The Morning Show which is clearly designed to be a showcase for her acting skills and she's good, but unimpressive. There's a reason she's a tv star (with an ensemble of five others supporting her) and not a film star.

what was powerful to me is Jennifer is one of the most beautiful women in the world and yet she had low self-esteem because of her mothers abuse. That is a statement. She's a trooper and a hard worker and I'm happy she has success. I met her as she was connected to a short independent film that played at a festival I volunteer for and she was lovely, and normal, and kind.

She was an *IT* girl...for awhile. At least she didn't end up like Gretchen Mol. She has a narrow lane, but she excels in it.

This book was pretty fucked up at times. I'll be amazed if it includes the crazier moments.

Jeannette writes very vividly, because the throwing up was thoroughly disgusting

She is aging like a gently rotting plum.
