Miley had a worldwide smash with "Flowers" just two years ago. The new teaser single "End of the World" doesn't seem to register much in Sabrina Carpenter's America. You'd think the title might resonate but it only hit #52 on Billboard in the US. Is there any hope for this new song feat. the one and only Naomi Campbell?
Will fans embrace Miley's new album? Can buccal fat surgery be reversed?

Stinky linky,

If it’s Sabrina Carpenters America I wanna go to Mexico.

Well, that was awful.
And nothing says, "I'm young, new, and fresh!" like having a model from the 1990s in your video.

Is it difficult when something just sort of FLOPS that way?

Interesting sound, but I just don't get the appeal. This was all manufactured for her, nothing about any of these new '90s songs seems to be coming from her personally. Though she's been in showbiz for so long, I doubt she could even sing about normal things from her own point of view at this point. She's a tired soulless product, packaged and repackaged one too many times.
And those fucking teeth and the resulting lisp are still all I see and hear.

She looks like Elizabeth Hurley there. Yeah that song is no Flowers/Midnight Sky/Nothing Breaks Like a Heart.

Her giant horse teeth veneers are so distracting.

What two-braincell lyrics.

If she ain't twerking, then what's the point? Her vocals were never responsible for her success.

OP is Sabrina Carpenter.

I can't make out the lyrics to this thing. What on earth is she saying in the chorus?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | July 2, 2025 1:43 PM |
her voice is terribly produced in this single. It can be good sometimes though it's often a challenge. Here, her sinking and the voice processing is bad but the mix with the production is even worse. The tune and voice seem to exist in two different rooms.
It doesn't help that the YouTube clip is out of sync with her lip movement.
I will say little about the Lindsay Lohan School of Slutty SuperYacht Dancing choreography.

They could have gone a little eccentric with the production to make it stand out more.

Trying to think of an 1980s video with industrial fans. Kind of a hard search because you get things about industrial music. Janet Jackson Rhythm Nation with its warehouse location or Kim Wilde are a little similar but I feel like there might be a more specific visual reference for this vid

That’s really bad

Very early Ridley Scott as well.

She needs a better song. Do good songs not grow on trees? Her people might have looked at this song and thought she could belt her way through it. 'Flowers' has a melody and it's meaning is easy to understand.

Well part of Flowers is also part of a Bruno Mars song, sped up:

Flowers is not this Bruno Mars song sped up but thanks for pointing to it anyways, hadn't heard it. It does sound like a response song. There was some controversy:
AI overview! "When I Was Your Man" by Bruno Mars and "Flowers" by Miley Cyrus are two popular songs that have been linked due to their lyrical similarities and a subsequent lawsuit. While "Flowers" doesn't directly sample "When I Was Your Man," some fans and legal proceedings have pointed out that the songs share lyrical themes about past relationships and self-love, with "Flowers" potentially serving as a response to Mars' song.

Let's throw Naomi, a non-singer or rapper, on it and hope for the best!

And let's rip off "Vogue" while we're at it!

Did Naomi consult on Miley's choice of eye lining?

Thank you R23.
I wondered.

Miley Cyrus just puts out albums so she can feature her latest medically crafted look on the cover. While she probably considers herself an artist, she is oblivious to the idea that she's afforded her vapid existence because she was born into it, not because she actually ever had to struggle or sacrifice for her "art".
