Look who came out of the woodwork for Zohran Mamdani
Not a peep from him about Trump's big beautiful bill, unauthorized bombing of Iran, SCOTUS decimating the rule of law etc., but somehow found time to go on TV just to smear a mayoral nominee elected by members of his own party.
This is the guy leading the party that's supposed to save democracy y'all.

Right after Zohran directly called out his billionaire overlords no less lmao. These clowns may be corrupt but they sure are transparent.

Hakeem Jeffreis used to have a spine. He was an excellent prosecutor in the House impeachement votes.
Now? All signs of a spine have left the fucking building.

All this hysterica from corporatist Dems is only going to raise his profile further. Laughable how these charlatans think they still have enough credibility with the masses to sway opinions, with blatantly Islamaphobic/racist rhetorics no less.

Let's be real. All elected Republicans and the overwhelming majority of elected Democrats pledge fealty to another nation (it's on the tip of my tongue which one!) before they lift a finger to do anything in the interest of American citizens and residents. That other nation's machinery has been so profoundly effective at wielding certifiably insane levels of influence and control for decades that it really took the genocide in Gaza to see how much control they wield. We're living in an upside down world right now in which the revolving Marjorie Taylor Greene and the despicable Tucker Carlson are actually making more sense on this issue that mainstream Democrats. I hope every elected Dem in a dye-in-the-wool "safe" blue district (or State) gets primaried from the Left. They're basically Right wingers who are SLIGHTLY more moderate than their Republican colleagues.

The Intifada thing is revolting and has no place in politics, regardless of what you think of Mamdani's policy proposals. The world isn't black and white where you have to open your mouth and take all the shit that comes out of a politician's mouth just because you happen to support him.

The concern-trolling over Mamdani's use of the word "intifada" is quite revealing. If only the people screeching knew what the word "intifada" meant...

And isn't odd that what Mamdani said vs. what Jeffries, Cuomo, Gillibrand et. al. claim he said are completely different statements?

R6 Intifada literally means an uprising you moron. Wanna take a wild guess why the mainstream media would rather use Arabic for a word that already exists in English?

Zohran Mamdani is not a Democrat. He is not a member of the Democratic Party, and was not elected by "members of his own party" who's be Democratic Socialists, who've rarely elected anyone.
They should have made him run on his own line and allowed only registered Democratic Socialists to vote for him.

Well said R13. Only corrupt sex pests who accomplished nothing after decades in politics should be allowed at Democratic primaries!! Why waste our time with anything else?

You make no sense, r16. A Democratic Party Primary election is for Democrats only.
EVERY Democratic Socialist will screech at you that they ARE NOT Democrats! So why are they voting in the Democratic Primary?
Zohran Mamdani is a feckless anti-Semite know-nothing, and self-impressed dilettante. A privileged rich kid who never held a job until he was twenty-nine years old, who pals around with shady characters who repeatedly say that the U.S. DESERVED the attacks on 9/11. Oh, ok, yeah, he'll be a wonderful choice! I'm sure he'll show us all the skills he's been keeping hidden till now to accomplish his big goals!
Have you sent in your application for a free "bottom surgery" yet? We're all gonna pay for it, haven't you heard! Yawn.

I am so disappointed by Jefferies that I can't even be bothered watching the video to see what he's saying. I just want him to resign and leave so that better Democratic politicians who are up to the task and can meet the moment can take his place.

Like Bernie Sanders, who magically becomes a Democrat only once every four years, when he's running for President? And nobody in the Democratic Party (except me) has a problem with it?

R11 is correct. "Intifada" means revolution or uprising. Like it's direct English translation "revolution," it doesn't always imply violence.
"Intifada" does not mean "jihad," which translates to "holy war." "Intifada" doesn't directly or necessarily mean "war" and has no religious connotations whatsoever.
There's a real push to claim that "intifada" means "jihad," that it's anti-semitic and threatening to Jews. Don't fall for these lies.

R17 Lmao, so your only argument against Mamdani is that he is a nepo baby (as is Cuomo), hung out with Hasan Piker once (who correctly pointed out the fact that 9/11 wouldn't have happened if the CIA hadn't literally saved Mujahideen from total collapse with US tax dollars which then birthed al-Qaeda), thinks trans people are people, and is against brown babies getting blown to pieces with American bombs funded by taxpayers?
Gee what a Godawful person. How he managed to defeat the guy with known mafia connections, unsubtly obstructed corrupted probes, had multiple aides and associates who were convicted on corruption charges, and was found by the New York AG to have sexually harassed 11 women as the governor is a mystery for the ages.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | August 21, 2025 12:28 AM

Yes, r24, ALL of that!
I never said he was a "nepo baby" a nonsensical term, I said he was a privileged brat, like all "Democratic Socialists" who are ALWAYS seeking to crush Democrats first, but then commandeer their party platform to get elected like the biggest do-nothing fraud in history Bernie Sanders.
I don't live in Vermont, I live in NYC so I'm speaking now. Yes, palling around with freaks like Piker Hasan bothers me. Why wouldn't it? There is a quality of virtue-signaling cosplay with these types. All hat and no cattle. They refuse to form alliances to ever make any progress at all, and when they fail they blame.....Democrats. Every time!
The Jew-hating is an added bonus.

Calling Mamdani a nepo baby as a Cuomo supporter -- you have to ask if this is truly a case of extreme cluelessness, or Trump-style deflection-trolling. Who doesn't know that he's the son of a NY governor and cut his teeth working on his father's campaigns? Andrew Cuomo at best would be a two-bit NYC prosecutor if it weren't for him being the son of a governor. If he didn't have his father's name, influence and connections he'd be nobody.
