I think I worse a similar suit to my first communion.
Why does David Corenswet’s stylist appear to hate him?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | July 7, 2025 9:46 PM |
Terrible, makes him look like a pinhead. And why would you shave off all that beautiful hair anyway? Is there some unwritten PR rule that an actor can't look like their character from a movie they're currently promoting? Because I hate it if so.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 24, 2025 12:50 PM |
This is the first time ive fancied him. The Superman suit looks bulky and ill fitting; maybe its altered with cgi.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 24, 2025 12:53 PM |
Fess up, OP. You wore a white suit for First Communion.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 24, 2025 1:03 PM |
He's hot.
I never saw a beige suit at a first communion. Aren't they usually navy blue or black?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | June 24, 2025 1:12 PM |
The problem is not the suit, it’s the shaved head. Higher hair on top would balance the proportions of the suit jacket, which you may not like, OP, but which is the current fashion.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 24, 2025 1:14 PM |
Are you mad? He's look fine.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 24, 2025 1:17 PM |
The jacket’s far too loose - he’s swimming in it. As for the hair: is it like that for a role?
American lost my luggage on the way to Rio. It could have happened to him, too.

Cavill also wears terrible, boxy suits that are not tailored to his physique.

I've met a wide variety of them, R11. The majority don't fit that stereotype, thank god. At least not the ones I attract and gravitate towards.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 24, 2025 1:29 PM |
These outfits are chosen for specific reasons and are usually styles that aren't at your local Penney's, OP. Perhaps you need to accept that you are behind in what is current and/or emerging. Now, please go back to your Hawaiian shirt and flip flops and leave the hot and fashionable guys alone.

The ill-fitting suit only makes me contemplate how much better he would look without it.
It's a bad choice, I agree, but these things happen. Unless you carry your own steamer trunks of your own clothes, or your own stylist in tow to control everything, at some point, in some place, in Rio or wherever, you will find yourself being fitted into some bad clothes. You can acknowledge teh fact or be the cunt who brought his personal stylist and a boatload of steamer trunks.

by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 25, 2025 7:39 PM |
I think he looks better than okay in the challenging beige on beige on beige look in the left image at R26, though I agree I wouldn't recommend he fill his closet with. the color. For me, a beige suit looks good only in tropical heat.
The biggest fault at left is the fit of the pants...the fit is more suitable for a fat, sweaty-browed, corrupt Southern lawyer villain in a film. But Corensweet veers more Gregory Peck7Atticus Finch than Ned Beatty playing any of many roles.

Corenswet has the most adorable smile. Henry Cavill was great and he's certainly nice to look at, but Corenswet is too, and he potentially brings a boyish sweetness to the role that Cavill didn't, but probably never could under Snyder's grimdark framework. Superman is light, upbeat and positive, the opposite of Batman in that way. This could work out very well.
He's fucking cute as hell.

Double-breasted suits with generous proportions are very on-trend right now. However for a guy with a blocky physique they aren’t the best choice. I don’t understand the hair/beard unless it’s for another role. He has a great face, why hide it, especially now.
R22 I’m sure his premiere wardrobe was all chosen and fitted in LA and that a stylist or assistant is traveling with him on the press tour.

Double breasted suits are very popular now. That one just does not fit in well at all. He needed to have it tailored and not just worn it off the rack.

by Anonymous | reply 47 | July 7, 2025 1:59 PM |
hardly R44. A double breasted suit is the epitome of tailoring. R47 is right, they usually best suit a certain build, but other body types can pull it off if you pay attention to the proportions and tailoring. Henry's is tailored perfectly where you can see his waist in contrast to the broader shoulders and peak lapel. David's is boxy, straight up and down. There is too much fabric through the torso. The shoulders should be sitting up higher and not slouching off the sides. It needs to be taken in in the back and the length is a tad short. He jacket looks like haft of a trench coat, not a double breasted suit jacket.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | July 7, 2025 4:12 PM |
I personally agree with you R48, but proportions for men’s clothes change every couple of seasons at least. The boxier, roomier silhouette may be the thing just now.

I saw the Superman preview today when I saw the F1 movie. I don't know who Corenswet is, but he is NOT HOT as Superman, at least compared to Henry Cavill and Christopher Reeve. He looks like a potato.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | July 7, 2025 9:27 PM |
A double breasted suit is probably the most classic piece of menswear there is. There really isn't much room for variation. You either wear one or you don't. The style of it really doesn't change, nor does the proper fit.
A well-fitting double-breasted suit should have a structured yet comfortable fit, accentuating the shoulders and chest while maintaining a sleek silhouette. The jacket should hug the shoulders without pulling or bunching, and the length should extend to just below the hip. The chest should be flat and smooth, and the lapels should lay flat against the chest. The sleeves should end at the wrist, allowing for a bit of shirt cuff to show.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Shoulders: The shoulder line of the jacket should align with your natural shoulder width.
Chest: The chest should be fitted but not tight, allowing for a smooth drape. If it's too tight, the lapels might lift and not lay flat.
Waist: A double-breasted suit should have a slightly nipped-in waist to create a V-shape and enhance the silhouette.
Length: The jacket should be slightly longer than a single-breasted jacket to avoid looking boxy. It should extend to the top of the rear, ending just below the hip.
Overall Fit: A well-fitting double-breasted suit should feel structured yet comfortable, allowing for ease of movement while maintaining a tailored look. It should not be too tight or too loose, but rather hug the body's natural lines.
