Baumgartner and Connor reportedly plan to tie the knot in an intimate wedding in Hawaii, attended by just close friends and family.

However, a source has told the Daily Mail that the upcoming event has caused a divide between Baumgartner and her ex-husband, Costner's mutual friends, as they have taken sides.

"Kevin's true friends immediately cut off Christine and Josh and would never attend their wedding, even if invited," the insider said. "Their loyalty to Kevin is solid."

The Oscar winner and Baumgartner called it quits on their marriage of 18 years in May 2023. The former couple, who share three children, finalized their divorce in February 2024, with Baumgartner winning $63,000 in child support after initially demanding over $248,000 during their bitter court battle.

Those are MONTHLY amounts, not annual. $63,000 per month is $756,000 per year. 3/4 of a million dollars!! That isn't to take care of the kids, that's to take care of her! Had she gotten $248,000/month, that would have been nearly $3 million per year in child support!!! I don't care how wealthy someone is, that's not reasonable on any level. All I'm seeing is that his pre-nup was "iron-clad" which was why she was trying to get all she could as child support. No community property resulted from the marriage and she would only get 1.5 million dollars per the terms of that pre-nup. I'd be interested in a link to info on the pre-nup being put aside due to him hiding assets/losses.

She could have added a codicil to the prenup regarding adultery. That's pretty common to do. Of course, Kevin may have nixed the idea. That would have told her exactly what to expect of the marriage. It was up to her if she wanted to accept those terms.

California has specific laws about what constitutes community property over the course of a marriage. It’s always seemed strange to me that an agreement between two people can override that.

It would be in the same vein as - I may AGREE to accept a job for $2.00 an hour… but are jobs ALLOWED that don’t pay the minimum wage? (Of course I mean one without tips, etc.)

These laws are in place to help keep people from being ripped off.

Community property would include the increase in value of real property someone owned even before the marriage. That's not necessarily fair when one party to the marriage already owned those assets before the marriage. It really annoys me when a man or woman is widowed with children from the first marriage and the new spouse who entered that marriage with nothing gets to leave a major portion of those assets to the children from his or her own first marriage due to the increase in property value. Prenups make very good sense when people marry later in life and especially when they have children by earlier marriages.
