Trump's MAGA Army Is Ripping Him Apart Over The Iran Bombing, With Comments Of Pure Unfiltered Rage

TrumpianScore38: "I trusted you. I'm done with MAGA and all your bullshit. My son is a sitting duck on a fucking destroyer you stupid asshole."

Jason: "I fully regret voting for this shit. I wanted peace and America first. I got neocon war monger, bush 2.0 bullshit. Prayers to all the families who's sons and daughters get involved in this mess.

@Hillbilly Things: "You betrayed us, your MAGA base. I voted for you THREE TIMES. I wouldn've voted for you again and again and again. You lying piece of shit.

Robert Andrew: "He just started a war. Broke his promise to his voters. I regret voting for him. Trump needs to be impeached."

Johnathan: "Well ladies and gentlemen I officially regret my vote for Donald J. Trump NO MORE WARS!!!"

Everytime it seems the mind control is about to wear off either only a few completely defect or Trump rezaps them all to renew his hold over them and they're all back to kissing his ass in no time. So I'm not going to get my hopes up.

by Anonymousreply 1June 23, 2025 1:02 AM

Well, I talked to a motorcycle salesman yesterday and he told me that he voted for Trump, but now he regrets it.

There's still hope, people.

by Anonymousreply 2June 23, 2025 1:06 AM

Too little too late

by Anonymousreply 3June 23, 2025 1:06 AM

Don’t worry they will all vote the same way again. But, nice of them to vent.

by Anonymousreply 4June 23, 2025 1:14 AM

Fred: "When I voted for DJT in November I did not do so because of his economics. I already knew he was awful on economics. I'm not in favor of his protectionist policies. He lied to me in 2016 when he said he would push to audit the Fed. And he spends like it's going out of style. I didn't vote for him because I thought he would be some champion for conservative social policy. He was the first POTUS to run in support of homosexual marriage. He criticized FL heart beat bill saying it was too strict. No, I held my nose and voted for him ... for a third time ... because I believe that foreign policy drives domestic policy and I wanted to believe that DJT was not really a neo-con in disguise. I wanted to believe that we would have a president that would put US interests before the interests of Israel. But I was wrong. This is not America first, It's more Israel first. This is not non-interventionism, it's more neo-con / neo-lib global policing. More than disappointed with this action."

Rudy: "This is the main reason I voted for Trump. I don't want to see anymore bloodshed. He's betrayed the vast majority of his voter base."

@ixWebb: "Fucking traitor. You promised us NO WAR, and you just started one!!!"

Michael: "The number one reason I voted for Trump is because he was the peace candidate. If the United States enters war with Iran, as appears to be the case, I will regret my vote. We have been at war for the past 25 years over this same nonsense. Just change Iran to Iraq and nuclear weapons to weapons of mass destruction. Enough already. Netanyahu has been screaming about Iran getting nukes longer than Al Gore has been screaming about Earth flooding from "climate change." The modern country of Israel, which is in no way related to the Israel mentioned in the Bible (the church), is a belligerent global menace which apparently controls even our own government, because no matter who we vote for, we get John McCain. It must be stopped. Trump needs to do the right thing, honor his campaign promise, and tell Israel to get lost."

(Name Redacted): "Very disappointed in President Trump. Iran was attacked by Israel unprovoked. We don't need to lose any American troops for this unnecessary conflict. I regret my vote."

Harrison H. Smith: "Welp, I was wrong. I trusted Trump to put America first and avoid the ONE FUCKING THING that could derail MAGA. Based on his track record, his promises during the campaign, and the abject stupidity of another Mideast war, I thought he knew better. We have been betrayed."

by Anonymousreply 5June 23, 2025 1:17 AM

Trump thinks he can do the “war president with high approval ratings” like Bush post 9-11.

Huge difference. We were reeling from that atrocity and it happened here on American soil.

Trump has no cause like that whatsoever.

by Anonymousreply 6June 23, 2025 1:19 AM

R5 Fred is an absolute fucking moron.

by Anonymousreply 7June 23, 2025 1:21 AM

Lol R7.

"Fred" really does sound like an idiot.

by Anonymousreply 8June 23, 2025 1:25 AM

It's almost like Trump is a liar or something??!

by Anonymousreply 9June 23, 2025 1:25 AM

They've all been TRUMPED!

by Anonymousreply 10June 23, 2025 1:27 AM

Sen. Mark Kelly has taken aim at President Donald Trump for bombing Iran’s nuclear sites and inserting the U.S. into the conflict between Israel and Iran.

“I find it interesting that the person without combat experience is often the first person to want to drop a bomb,” Kelly said while appearing Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

He continued, “And that’s what we see here. And what we did last night puts those troops, 40,000 of them, at further risk. But we are going to do everything we can to protect that. Now, we’ve got a very capable military. We’re going to do our best to defend our interests.”

by Anonymousreply 12June 23, 2025 1:28 AM

We are now going to see an unprecedented level of terrorist attacks against the US globally.

by Anonymousreply 13June 23, 2025 1:30 AM

How on earth did these stupid fucking people even manage to reach whatever advanced age they're currently at? Do they manage to tie shoes each morning?

by Anonymousreply 14June 23, 2025 1:31 AM

So all of these morons are upset that a known pathological liar lied to them?

Just more proof that Americans are dumb as shit.

by Anonymousreply 15June 23, 2025 1:33 AM

I would NEVER vote for Trump. I speak to a few people who voted for Trump only because I feel sorry for them. But I am cool with bombing Iran. I mean, it scares me because they are crazy so I would rather lay low, but I also recognize that doesn't work anyway. October 7th was really horrible. What is happening to the people in Gaza is really horrible, and Iran is behind it and could stop it but they keep funding all of these terrorist groups. So maybe it is time to just bomb the shit out of them. I don't think there will be any reason to put actual troops in Iran, it would be completely ineffective as well as dumb. But some bombs? I mean, it's scary but we were going to be blamed for what Israel is doing anyway. We probably should have bombed Iran rather than Iraq after September 11.

by Anonymousreply 16June 23, 2025 1:33 AM

Fox News is ALREADY priming their audience to blame any attack on Biden.

by Anonymousreply 17June 23, 2025 1:33 AM

Sweet MAGA tears. Love to see it.

by Anonymousreply 18June 23, 2025 1:39 AM

You're in the minority, R16.

Americans - both Republicans and Democrats - are sick of our government being involved in these Middle East entanglements.

Read the comments. Listen to the people. We're sick of it.

THIS IS NONE OF OUR BUSINESS. Let Israel and Iran fight it out.

People are saying it has been 25 years, but I think it has been much longer.

Israel is its own country. Let them deal with their own problems.

We are not the World Police.

by Anonymousreply 19June 23, 2025 1:40 AM

When are you enlisting, R16?

by Anonymousreply 20June 23, 2025 1:46 AM

The United States Middle East foreign policy is controlled by Israel.

Everybody can see this.

by Anonymousreply 21June 23, 2025 1:46 AM

R20, yeah I am not enlisting. I don't want anyone to enlist, I don't want to go to war with anyone, I am a lame hide under the covers type person. I wish we would make nice with everyone. But think Iran is awful and what it happening in Gaza and on October 7th was unthinkable, and sometimes you do have to do something. We sat out too long in the Holocaust. I don't know if now is the time to intervene, and I don't know that Trump or his team are particularly bright in making those determinations. I am just not super outraged that we decided to go after Iran.

by Anonymousreply 22June 23, 2025 1:50 AM

I’ve already seen comments on social media, where most of his supporters are saying that if we get terrorist attacks because of this that it’s on Biden for letting in all the illegals. So they’ve already got the blame Biden excuse.

by Anonymousreply 23June 23, 2025 1:51 AM

These regrets are suspiciously well-articulated. Are we sure Trump voters really said these things? There's too much thought behind them.

Which Holocaust are you talking about?

The one in Gaza?

by Anonymousreply 26June 23, 2025 1:56 AM

So, um, Biden let a lot of Latin Americans in so any terrorism in response to bombing Iran is clearly his fault? Yeah, actually that does sound like MAGAt logic.

by Anonymousreply 27June 23, 2025 1:56 AM

R26 I mean the Jewish Holocaust, but I absolutely think genocide is happening in Gaza and it is impossible to look away. I believe Iran and Bibi are both using Gaza and the people as propaganda tools and allowing those people to die.

WRONG.

I know you people are trying to downplay how PISSED OFF the MAGATS are right now at Trump.

But if you don't believe it, take one look at Marjorie Taylor Greene's post about attacking Iran.

She lives up Trump's ass, and even she is posting how much of a betrayal this is, for his supporters:
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸 @RepMTG
Every time America is on the verge of greatness, we get involved in another foreign war.
There would not be bombs falling on the people of Israel if Netanyahu had not dropped bombs on the people of Iran first.
Israel is a nuclear armed nation.
This is not our fight.

Satisfied? MAGA truly hates this.

Now kindly shut the fuck up!

R29 i’ve seen probably close to 100 comments on social media where they are saying if we get attacked domestically by terrorist because of the attacks in Iran then Biden is to blame for letting in so many illegals. That is going to be a huge talking point going forward on social media, and you watch if we do get attacked domestically they will blame it on Biden.

by Anonymousreply 31June 23, 2025 2:04 AM

If there was a genocide going on in Gaza, there wouldn't be any Gazans left. Y'all need to be more precise with your language. There might be atrocities, but there is no systematic murder of two million people.

by Anonymousreply 32June 23, 2025 2:05 AM

The question is will they sustain that for more than a couple of days r29. Some will. Some people seem really truly pissed off, although anyone who can use the phrase "I trusted him" about Donald Trump is somewhere between stupid and braindead, but I get there is real anger out there right now. But for most will it just be the usual, Dear Leader makes a couple of phone calls, makes a couple of vague comments, and everyone falls back in line, forgetting they ever committed the heresy of disagreement?

by Anonymousreply 33June 23, 2025 2:05 AM

I agree there doesn't seem to be any planned genocide r32. In fact, I don't think there's any plan at all at this point, just a sort of mindless, periodic slaughter, just for its own sake and I guess the entertainment of the Israeli leadership, but no real plan or objective.

by Anonymousreply 34June 23, 2025 2:10 AM

[bold]Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸 @RepMTG[/bold]

[italic]My thoughts on bombing Iran.

I don’t know anyone in America who has been the victim of a crime or killed by Iran, but I know many people who have been victims of crime committed by criminal illegal aliens or MURDERED by Cartel and Chinese fentanyl/drugs.

Almost everyone in our country can relate to this fact.

However America has not dropped bunker busters on the Cartel’s sophisticated drug tunnels, launched tomahawks on massive cartel poisonous drug operations, or gone to war against the cartels international terrorists networks.

Neocon warmongers beat their drums of war and act like Billy badasses going to war in countries most Americans have never seen and can’t find on a map, but never find the courage to go to war against the actual terrorists who actually do kill Americans, invade our land, and make BILLIONS doing it day after day, year after year.

I’m 51 years old. I’m GenX.

I’ve watched our country go to war in foreign lands for foreign causes on behalf of foreign interests for as long as I can remember. I was in 10th grade when Desert Storm started and my father before me was sent to Vietnam, another senseless foreign war.

America is $37 TRILLION in debt and all of these foreign wars have cost Americans TRILLIONS AND TRILLIONS of dollars that never benefited any American.

American troops have been killed and forever torn apart physically and mentally for regime change, foreign wars, and for military industrial base profits.

I’m sick of it.

I can easily say I support nuclear armed Israel’s right to defend themselves and also say at the same time I don’t want to fight or fund nuclear armed Israel’s wars.

Nor any other country for that matter.

I’m sick of funding foreign aid and foreign countries and foreign everything.

I want to fund American interests and issues.

I want GREAT trade deals so American businesses and people can afford goods and be successful.

I want low inflation and low interest rates.

I want American construction, housing, and manufacturing to BOOM.

I want Americans to be rich and have security in their future.

I want my children’s generation to HAVE A GREAT FUTURE!!!

My kids are 22, 25, and 27.

It pisses me off beyond comprehension that my children’s generation can’t afford to buy a house, can’t afford insurance, and have little hope for their future!!!

Americans are exhausted by all of this and rightfully so.[/italic]

R32, I hope you are right. I kind of think they truly want to exterminate everyone in Gaza. (they meaning the Israeli administration making these decisions). I guess they would be fine if another country would take the people from Gaza in, but since no one will (where I think Iran has set the people up in Gaza) I think the plan might be to kill them all. But I hope you are right.
Iran says US ‘must receive a response’ after Trump’s strikes on nuclear sites

Iran has warned the US to brace for retaliation after Donald Trump’s administration joined Israel in its war against Tehran, tearing up his isolationist foreign policy and launching the most consequential intervention in a conflict in a generation.

Almost a day after US strikes targeting three key Iranian nuclear sites, Iran’s president, Masoud Pezeshkian, told France’s Emmanuel Macron: “The Americans must receive a response to their aggression,” signalling a potential Iranian reprisal that could drag the US into a new, protracted conflict in the Middle East.

Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, said he planned to fly to Moscow to meet Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, on Monday morning for consultations. Ali Akbar Velayati, an adviser to Iran’s supreme leader, said any country used by the US to strike Iran “will be a legitimate target for our armed forces,” the state-run IRNA news agency reported.

R2 is not horribly naive. It's just an observation. BTW, while you guys sit in your offices and boardrooms, I'm talking to Deplorables, which constitute virtually my entire county's population, as well as all the counties around mine (can you say "The Villages," anyone?). And before you dismiss these guys, remember -- while most of you are afraid to even [italic]touch[/italic] a gun, these boys (and many of the women) are loaded for bear.

If you want to remember what they're capable of, just look back at Jan. 6. We only have to get them pointed in the right direction, wind 'em up, and let 'em go.

I see that I hit a nerve here. Keep thinking you're having deep discussions with these people all you want, the fact is most of them experienced Trump's disastrous first term and chose to vote for him a second time. If you're not naive, I don't know who is. And frankly, judging by your language, you're not too far from these Trump voters yourself, so I can see why you side with them.

by Anonymousreply 66June 23, 2025 12:34 PM

^ You quote r64 but you haven't actually read it, have you? You say 'deep discussion' when that's not what's in that post. 64 is describing the MAGAs mindset and readiness for a call to arms. There is nothing apologetic in that or earlier posts or anything that shows sympathy for MAGA. Just description. Being physically close to those people doesn't make you one of them, but it gets you insight that armchair Democrats usually can't have.

by Anonymousreply 67June 23, 2025 12:52 PM

Like I said, and a Democrat in Congress also said, THEY OWN THIS WAR. They cut Dems out of any decision process, yet they notified Speaker Johnson and other Republicans before it happened. They could have objected. They could have said let's see with our friends across the isle think. Even on the security counsel no Democrats were notified. It's THEIR WAR, no two sides about it.

by Anonymousreply 68June 23, 2025 12:54 PM

Yes Trump owns this. But that doesn't mean Democrats have to start supporting Iran or being oppositional for no reason. Vance and Hegsmith come across as punks. Trump seems irrational and impulsive But again that doesn't mean his decision was wrong. It's way too early to see how this plays out.

I don't know too many MAGA types but I still think the biggest motivation is their hatred of Dems. I don't they love Trump as much as they did in the past.

by Anonymousreply 69June 23, 2025 1:01 PM

Also the big beautiful bill will wreck havoc on many Trump voters. Will see if their support on Iran will overcome that.

You think because someone doesn't live in proximity to white trash, doesn't mean they don't know Trump voters. Trump voters cut across all incomes and ethnic groups. They are everywhere. You and that poster at r2 are out of touch.

by Anonymousreply 72June 23, 2025 1:09 PM

More seem to agree with Trump, though. I've seen comments like: "I don't fully understand why this is necessary but I fully trust our President's actions". Or some accusing any MAGA of expressing doubts as "unpatriotic".

Apparently you can only love your country if you agree with 100% of the incumbent president's actions.

Part of it is unintelligence and ignorance, whereas part of it's pride. Some cannot and will not ever admit to making a mistake.

by Anonymousreply 73June 23, 2025 1:11 PM

They may be everywhere but obviously they dominate in certain red states and communities. There are Trump voters in NYC but they are far from the majority and keep their opinions to themselves. Calling them white trash and seeing them as vermin is just anothe reason Dems are losers and will keep losing.

by Anonymousreply 74June 23, 2025 1:12 PM

Hey y'all, you're the one that needs help. You don't have to kill everyone for it to be genocide FFS.

The UN definition of genocide:

In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

Killing members of the group; Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

It’s about money and the canal, people. Plain and simple. America is not going to lose its chance for the canal which goes straight through Palestine. It’s all about money and you people want to make it about feelings. America is never going to let go of the possible windfall by backing Israel. Never. And doesn’t care about how many Palestinians have to die to get it down. They just don’t. And honestly there is nothing you can do about it, regardless of how you feel.

by Anonymousreply 79June 23, 2025 1:27 PM

R78 can you please explain to me how the first three conditions of that definition of genocide are different than war?

by Anonymousreply 80June 23, 2025 1:32 PM

For courses I teach, I read the works (both non-fiction and fiction) of contemporary veterans from the Vietnam War to the Afghanistan/Iraq conflicts. One, Phil Klay, is very anti-Trump, but in the Introduction to a collection of essays that came out after the 2016 election, he related a story. He went to a wedding where there would be many fellow former Marines. One Marine told him that he voted for Trump even though he knew he was an idiot, because he was the candidate who promised no more foreign engagements. No wonder his minions are upset now.

R16, I'm with you to a certain extent. It needed to be done. Iranian support of Hamas must end. October 7 was a horrific, terrorist attack, and Israel has every right to go after its perpetrators and free the hostages taken. And a nuclear armed Iran is a direct threat to Israel. BUT the response of the Netanyahu government has been wrong. It is making the same mistakes America made after 9/11. Yes, Hamas uses civilians as human shields. But the deaths of innocent Gazans in the tens of thousands is disproportionate to October 7. It has become an unjust war.

This imbecile in the White House should not have become involved. Americans are now at risk at home and abroad from terrorist attacks in revenge. When this occurs, this imbecile will begin to blame others, but he made the decision.

Pressure at the negotiating table would have been far better. But he's no negotiator.

God help us all!

I think MAGA hasn't been too thrilled with economics already, this seems like a bit of an excuse to officially jump ship to me, at least to some extent. If Congress doesn't stand up to this SOON, they may see a 60 Dem Senate next year.

by Anonymousreply 82June 23, 2025 1:39 PM

R81 On October 8th everyone involved on both sides knew that an unjust war was about to take place. You don’t do something like that to Israel without knowing its full might will come down on you - same as it is for America. Less than 3,000 Americans were killed on 9/11 and we killed 500k people in a country they didn’t even attack us.

Two things Hamas didn’t account for. 1. They were most likely being lead into the Oct. 7th attack (given too much rope, freedom to hang themselves with) by Israel so we can be where we are today. And 2. That none of their fellow Muslim brother countries would come to their aid. They wanted a holy war and just got holy hell.

by Anonymousreply 83June 23, 2025 1:47 PM

The Wokes got him elected. Most people who voted for him were not MAGA, they were just fed up with the tranny bullshit and voted for Trump because they had no other choice. All the Left had to do was beat an insane elderly man and they failed miserably.

That's like running the 100 meter dash against a blind, one-legged, 80 year old and LOSING! But then you don't blame yourself, you blame him and his supporters. The Wokes and their drag queen hours, their reverse racism, their redefining what a woman is, their attacks on statues, their pushing children to get gender reassignment surgery etc. destroyed this country and led to the rise of the Religious Right. Keep denying it, you know it's true.

R84 is too stupid for words.

All of the media, including some prominent media figures, are already siding with Trump.

They’re propagating the large amounts of minerals, particularly Uranium, that Iran has allegedly been stockpiling for over a decade.

Now Trump has moved from one & done, to floating the idea of regime change in Iran.

Personally? I’ve checked out on most of this.

The one thing I’ve learned is that Trump says one thing one day, & does something completely different than what he originally stated, the next day.

It’s always, ALWAYS a wild roller coaster ride with this guy, so I’ve detached, because getting invested in anything this man says or does, is a HUGE waste of time.

Iran was once a conservative, yet highly progressive country that boasted the best of everything, & was truly a great country before Iranian Clerics took over, & basically destroyed it with their religious bullshit.

We should have stepped in BEFORE the Ayatollah sequestered the country, but the 1970s are a long look back in the mirror of memories, & now every warmonger who wants to cash in on the BILLIONS to TRILLIONS of dollars generated by war, are moving on in with deadly weapons to target Iran.

War is ALWAYS initiated due to corruption & greed. A tale as old as fucking time.

Good luck to all of our service men & women. May they manage to live through another pillaging of a foreign lands.

We did step in, R86. Our support of the overthrow of the democratically elected prime minister Mosaddegh and return of the shah paved the way to the Ayatollah.

Yes, the shah modernized the country and opened opportunities for women, but he was also a brutal dictator. The US backed an increasingly repressive regime, and to many Iranians, America became synonymous with tyranny, not liberty.

This theocratic regime is far worse, but we played a part in bringing it about.

by Anonymousreply 88June 23, 2025 2:25 PM

I would have assumed a lot of MAGA Oldsters were itchin' for retribution for the Iran Hostage Crisis back in 1979 (that got Reagan elected). 45 years isn't forgotten by those who felt humiliated by Iran 45 years ago.

by Anonymousreply 89June 23, 2025 2:26 PM

The reactions that OP is quoting are remarkable to me as it shows some serious doubt among his strongest supporters. That's new. I have no doubts that these people are Republican voters and will be even when Trump is already six feet under. But: This crowd was riled up in the last ten years so they would feel motivated enough to actually show up on election day. They may not be so motivated anymore. There may be a significant number of voters who will now fail to show up on the next election day.

At the same time more moderate / independent voters who opted for Republicans last November may now swing to Democratic candidates because they become more and more appalled. And they may be very motivated to vote. (Less money in your pocket and a war may do that.) This is the group Democrats need to convert now, not the MAGAs.

by Anonymousreply 90June 23, 2025 2:28 PM
The Wokes got him elected. Most people who voted for him were not MAGA, they were just fed up with the tranny bullshit and voted for Trump

"The Wokes" whatever or whoever that is were probably just a motivator for far right voters who vote Republican anyway. Centrists probably didn't care enough to make that a major selling point. From my anecdotal experience, centrists and independents were less concerned about the hyped up culture war and more guided by economy, taxes and perceived overregulation.

This is an example of a Trump supporter in my West Hollywood neighborhood- they had a giant Trump banner in their window during the election. Their townhouse has been on the market for a couple of years now:

R89, it's been 45 years since then. The "MAGA oldsters" are not the old conservatives of 1980. They're very isolationist, aka "America First." They're also Vietnam veterans and don't support putting American troops on foreign soil to fight a "foreign policy war." Their opposition makes perfect sense if you've been paying attention. Opposing this war is part and parcel of their policy of dismantling NATO, disengaging with traditional allies, and leaving Europe to fend for itself.

by Anonymousreply 99June 23, 2025 3:42 PM

It's more like people have been hating on the Middle East since 9/11. They don't make distinctions. Hell Bush bombed Iraq for non existent WMDs after 9/11 when it was all about Afghanistan and the Saudis. And if you look at the way things have evolved to day, it would not surprise me t o discover that Russia was behind the 9/11 attacks, and Arab Spring and anything else they needed to do to destabilize the Middle East, and to revenge themselves for what the USA did in Afghanistan when Carter was POTUS.

by Anonymousreply 100June 23, 2025 3:46 PM

R100 I’m not sure how old you are, but I am 50. America has been hating on the Middle East since I was a baby in 1975. 9/11 was just the halfway mark as far as my lifespan is concerned.

by Anonymousreply 101June 23, 2025 3:50 PM

Extremely wealthy MAGAs are cheering. Extremely Zionist Jewish MAGAs are cheering. Conservative Christian Apocalypse cultists are cheering. Rank and file MAGAs, particularly working and middle class Boomer MAGAs with memories of Vietnam, particularly first hand memories, are LIVID -- and this group of MAGAs is probably bigger than the other three combined. Trump didn't win all the swing states like PA by appealing to Evangelicals or Zionists, he did it by appealing to white working and middle class people who don't trust the government.

by Anonymousreply 102June 23, 2025 3:56 PM

I thought it was established Trump didn’t win the election but Kamala lost it. He didn’t receive more votes than 2020, it’s just the democrats lost a ton of votes by people not showing up at the polls. Or am I wrong?

by Anonymousreply 103June 23, 2025 4:01 PM

Fully agreed, R97.

by Anonymousreply 104June 23, 2025 4:04 PM

R102 those MAGAs are just glad he has ICE chasing all those dog -eating criminal gangs from Mexico....and Venezuela.

by Anonymousreply 105June 23, 2025 4:17 PM

I take a backseat to no one in my utter contempt for Trump (& Netanyahu, too), & I was hoping for a diplomatic resolution, but the enemy of our enemy is not always our friend. Iran has been a very bad actor in the Middle East since the Islamic Revolution in 1979. Iran has never been weaker in all the years since, so this may not be the worst thing to happen. Even if at the hands of Trump.

by Anonymousreply 106June 23, 2025 4:18 PM

I’m amazed that Israel can fight a war on two fronts seemingly without breaking into a sweat.

by Anonymousreply 107June 23, 2025 4:26 PM

R103: partisan Democrats are the modern equivalent of '72 Manhattan voter: "How could Nixon have won like that? Everyone I know voted for McGovern!" Some voters, not MAGA rally shouty ones, cjust didn't see Biden as much better than Trump, not caring who was elected.

by Anonymousreply 108June 23, 2025 4:30 PM

Well, it helps that Israel has unlimited funds courtesy of U.S. taxpayers, r107.

by Anonymousreply 109June 23, 2025 4:33 PM

Not really sure what point you think you're making, R105. Yes, white MAGAs generally are xenophobic and racist. Nothing I wrote disputes that. In fact, it's perfectly in line with the same "America First" framing that makes them oppose foreign wars. However, they are not "just" glad about all of Trump's actions, which is the point of the thread. They are also quite angry about war with Iran. Both things can be true. There are cracks forming in MAGA land and their support for their orange dictator is not what it once was.

by Anonymousreply 110June 23, 2025 4:36 PM

R108 American voters are the stupidest voters the fucking world. They’ll never pass up a chance to be contrarian and fuck themselves.

by Anonymousreply 111June 23, 2025 5:03 PM

In the immortal words of Sean Paul, “a promise is a comfort to a fool.”

by Anonymousreply 115June 23, 2025 5:15 PM

Two things. One, maggots scream about Democrats being "groomers" and "pedos" constantly. Do any of you tell them, "this is why you keep losing elections and have to cheat? Maybe you should stop calling them names, especially since it's not true?".

Somehow, I doubt it, yet you want to roll up in here and tell us to stop calling the brain dead cultists who would cheer our public executions "vermin" and "scum". GTFOH

Second, these maggots are so deep in the cult that they will continue to vote thug, no matter what. They cannot and will not admit to making a mistake and CHANGING THEIR BEHAVIOR. Nope. Won't happen.

Maybe they'll make a big stink and discourage converts by their bitch fighting and airing dirty laundry, but don't get your hopes up and think the qult will abandon him.

by Anonymousreply 116June 23, 2025 5:19 PM

R116, you’re in a cult too. you just don’t realize it.

by Anonymousreply 117June 23, 2025 5:21 PM

These magats hate anyone who isn’t white, Christian, conservative so fuck them. THEY look down on us more than we look down on them. We hate them because they’ve always hated us and call themselves real America, not us.

by Anonymousreply 118June 23, 2025 5:24 PM

The MAGA army hates the libs more than they hate war, but a huge margin. They'll all eventually fall in line. A few congresspeople might make a big fuss but the vast majority are more afraid of Trump than they are of anti-war voters.

by Anonymousreply 119June 23, 2025 5:57 PM

^I agree. But the big, beautiful bill will be a disaster for Trump if it goes through. Will hurt alot of MAGA voters.

by Anonymousreply 120June 23, 2025 6:04 PM

Israel will win over Iran, unless and until it's "boots on the ground." (Our 51ststate can outspend Iran). A nation of 10 million subduing and occupying Iran's 90 million (and fighting half a dozen other countries) will be a little hard to do. Except with millions more of Hegseth's fittest combat-ready "warriors."

by Anonymousreply 121June 23, 2025 6:18 PM

Trump probably likes that picture of him. Makes him look vicious instead of a wimpy bloated wreck.

by Anonymousreply 122June 23, 2025 6:24 PM

Most MAGAs in Georgia where I live, are not Marjorie Taylor Greene. Most of them love Trump just the way he is. If he took a shit on the Oval Office Carpet in front of the media, they would still love him. They rationalize every single thing he does. They recite his latest lies by heart, and they care most about their immediate needs. Now his policies are going to hurt them. But they will justify those policies. And find someone else to blame. They will absorb inflation, losing healthcare benefits from Medicaid, and job losses and never waiver from their support of Trump. I am talking about true MAGAs. They will not allow this thing with Iran to weaken their support. It's a true cult. That's how they do.

by Anonymousreply 123June 23, 2025 6:34 PM

Because it’s not just admitting Trump is wrong, it’s admitting they themselves are wrong, to their core. And they are insecure and for the most part think the world has always looked down on them. The last thing they will do is admit to anyone they are wrong. And the opposite of that is doubling down until death.

by Anonymousreply 124June 23, 2025 6:42 PM

This is a MAGAt off ramp. They would never admit voting for their Orange Jesus was wrong, but now, for those inclined, he's given them a legit out.

by Anonymousreply 125June 23, 2025 6:50 PM

R125 on balance, if you are a MAGA Trump supporter, and you weight the pros and cons, if nothing worse happens, if this is the end of it, as far as missile strikes, they will not take the "off ramp." Follow the money.
