When you block someone on Facebook

Do they receive a message notifying them that you blocked them? Can they still see your Facebook profile and pictures?

by Anonymousreply 19June 23, 2025 4:00 AM

You know, OP, the best solution is to get off Facebook altogether.

by Anonymousreply 1June 22, 2025 2:59 PM

Is OP posting from 2010?

by Anonymousreply 2June 22, 2025 3:08 PM

Mom?

by Anonymousreply 3June 22, 2025 3:38 PM

OP, they cannot see you at all and they do not receive a notification.

If you don’t want to see them but don’t care if they see you, you can just stop following them and they will be none the wiser.

by Anonymousreply 4June 22, 2025 4:13 PM

Why are you blocking someone?

by Anonymousreply 5June 22, 2025 4:17 PM

Is this about Walter?

by Anonymousreply 6June 22, 2025 4:19 PM

Let's just say we have differing opinions on Air Supply's GREATEST hit.

by Anonymousreply 7June 22, 2025 4:20 PM

OP - the answer is no. And no.

by Anonymousreply 8June 22, 2025 4:20 PM

R5 Annoying family member. Thanks to all those who answered my question.

by Anonymousreply 9June 22, 2025 4:27 PM

OP, thinking seriously about going back to MySpace

by Anonymousreply 10June 22, 2025 5:05 PM

What's odd is that any friend request you don't accept, they still become a "follower" of yours and see anything you post that's set to Public in your feed.

OP, there are reasons to be on there, I wouldn't hear about births and deaths and marriages and such from people I know but seldom see. But still, get rid of all that personal info in your profile, and even anything that identifies your location at any time. If you want to be super-private, get rid of any photos of your face that are on there, and untag yourself from anything.

If only DL was a FB clone?

Spellcheck! Editing! Cropped pics!

by Anonymousreply 12June 22, 2025 5:09 PM

Anyone who is not blocked can see anything you post that's set to Public in your feed.

by Anonymousreply 13June 22, 2025 5:10 PM

I will correct you: you want to be super-private?—delete FB

by Anonymousreply 14June 22, 2025 5:12 PM

I wanted to know if somebody blocks you on email do you know? The answer is no. Your email goes into their spam and is deleted in a month. So you do not even get a message of undeliverable.

by Anonymousreply 15June 22, 2025 5:15 PM

Ok.

by Anonymousreply 16June 22, 2025 5:42 PM

I blocked a girl on Facebook, and came down with explosive diarrhea. I don't know if the girl cursed me or if it was Jesus expressing his displeasure. I stopped blocking people after that.

by Anonymousreply 17June 22, 2025 5:53 PM

Fuck Facebook. In the FACE. FaceFuck them.

by Anonymousreply 18June 22, 2025 11:12 PM

OP = Vicki Lawrence
