'BigBiys' a sneaky little British gay comedy that hits harder than expected. Currently on Hulu.
Jack’s a shy, newly out gay guy still reeling from his dad’s death, thrown into university with Danny, a confident, older, messed up straight guy They shouldn’t work, but they do. Not in a cheesy odd couple way, more like two misfits fumbling into real friendship through bad nights out, grief, and virginal awkwardness.
It’s funny, sharp, and weirdly moving. Hits that sweet spot between dick jokes and emotional damage. Surprisingly tender stuff, if you’re into that kind of thing (and let’s be real you are). Give it a chance, on Hulu..

Are you saying they are in a relationship?
If so, “straight guy?”

Might have some promise. I will give it a watch. It's on one of my streaming services.

It's really good. I'd suspect it might be a bit too British for American audiences as a lot of the jokes revolve around minor UK celebrities, but would definitely recommend for anyone to give it a go. The final few episodes are devastating.

It's WONDERFUL.
Camille Coduri is chef's-kiss perfect as Jack's mom.

I enjoyed all three seasons of this but it does get a bit maudlin. Especially the Season 3 finale, which was just tonally so jarring.

No, OP - let’s be real - YOU are.
It’s always laughable when some nonentity presumes to speak for everyone about his latest obsession.

Can it possibly be even half as funny as Peep Show?

WHY do all of these films have to be about attractive or non-basic looking guys always somehow being fallen in love with by a “straight” guy? That or it’s a homely sissy gay who some beautiful model looking guy in head over heels for?

R10 - At first, I thought that’s where the show was headed, but it doesn't.
This isn’t the usual “gay guy falls for his straight best friend” story. Jack isn’t in love with Danny, they’re just real, ride-or-die best friends. The heart of the show is about that kind of rare, deep platonic bond, not some unrequited crush.

The creator of the show… let’s just say, not exactly a looker. Yikes. And clearly, casting was done with a generous eye.

Nonentity? I’ll have you know that OP is none other than the Duke of Cadbury.

R12 Google is your friend - “Peep Show” is one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen. I’d avoided it for years because everybody raved about it, then discovered that everybody was right.

The creator at R13 is wearing a very flouncy blouse!

As the voiceover in the very first episode admits.

It looks cute, but I'm definitely gonna need to have closed captioning on for this one.
I understood about 12 words they said in that trailer.

It's good, in moments, though I thought might have been much better with a different tone, less flip, less hackneyed. The humor tries too hard, I thought, and the two main characters and their relationship sometimes get lost in some very elaborate constructions of plot and other characters. The actress playing Corrine is very good with what she was given, even if that's, like much of the series, a bit if a scramble.
I think there's a lot of good incidental humor that's sometimes lost by making everything a bit too silly.

r16 Please. Google and I are in a committed relationship. What I meant to ask was what makes it worth a Datalounge queen’s time? Queen to queen.

Peep Show and Big Boys are nothing like each other. They were made about 30 years apart and Peep Show isn't about a gay character at all.

They share a naughty title. Lame Brits like naughty stuff—very repressed.

Just saw Danny's ass in season 1, episode 4.
And I had a thought that is really going to bum me out if it's true.
