DNC is broke, apparently
I almost didn't want to post this in fear that some of you are cucked enough to want to donate to these impotent geriatrics so they can keep paying these DC consultants millions upon millions just to be told to keep doing what they've been doing because suburban whites are the only voters on earth and they'll surely come back to the Democrats - just throw more immigrants and transes under the bus, keep deepthroating Israel, and purge anyone who has the audacity to even suggest that the Democrats should start listening to plebs who make under six figures a year, it'll definitely come to fruition one of those days.
Have some self-respect amd tell them to fuck off if they start calling begging for money - or at least, tell them you'll only reconsider once they're rid of every incompetent and corrupt goon who had a hand in Biden's policymaking and Kamala's campaign. For now let AIPAC keep the Democucks afloat - they've certainly earned it.

The DNC needs to spend a year traveling the country to meet with local and state level Democrats and choose what group is going to be the new face of the party. Like a giant casting call to replace all the faces associated with the party now. Force a lot of Dems into retirement. Publicly send the far leftists on their way. Take over and get on top of the trans and immigration issues among a few other key things.

In other words, purge the only Democrats who have good ideas and enjoy positive polling. Yeah that'll help the Democrats.

R6 Other people can sell those ideas to a lot more people putting them in a more attractive package. Bernie for example is the equivalent of the generic food of the 1970s and early 80s.

[quote]Publicly send the far leftists on their way.
This is a moronic take. There aren't any "far leftists" anyway but you're probably too dumb to understand the Overton Window. The current DNC is like GWB-era Republicans, they're not "left" they're center-right and sometimes (especially on Israel and, lately, on social programs) just full blown right.
This is because the media -- all of it, including local media -- are owned by billionaire oligarchs who've twisted the narrative in their favor so completely that no one in this country knows what left or center even is anymore, because it's all just degrees of right. Ever since the repeal of the Fairness Doctrine under Reagan, which paved the way for slanted right-wing rhetoric masquerading as "news" to become the exclusive source of information for many of the masses.
Wanting healthcare, education, housing and a social safety net isn't "far-left," it's common sense and every other developed nation supports it across the political spectrum except for the far right.
The brainwashing people willingly submit to in this country is so fucking sad. We are all being played and you're out here reading right from their script.

[quote]Wanting healthcare, education, housing and a social safety net isn't "far-left,"
You know what is far-left?
Open borders, DEI, CRT, and trans/nonbinary ideology, which are very unpopular with moderates and cost Dems the 2024 election.
But continue doubling down on those unpopular issues and see how you fare in the 2026 midterms.

Far left is a perception of all who voted for Trump. The majority perception won. It doesn't matter what is real. It matters what voters think is real. The common ground among Americans is far greater than the media and most politicians would have us think. Left, right, etc. are meaningless but powerful words.

Nobody refrained from voting Democrat because of DEI you whiny little bitch. 10 million Biden voters stayed home because of the genocide that the Democrats funded and faciliated, AND because the Democrats offered the voters absolutely NOTHING.

So - everybody go back and read this entire thread at once. And then tell me again that it's obvious what the DNC needs to do. It's not. Everybody has an opinion but none of you can claim that they found the universal truth. If you say that the DNC's approach is obvious you're either a liar or ignorant.

The NYT had a huge headline one month after Democrats lost the 2024 election about the first big DNC meeting being all about how to reach trans voters. That’s when I knew it was truly over. When the likes of Donald Trump can be put back into the White House you know the opposition is out of step with the majority of America.

[Quote] the democrats were not moderate in the last election. They were tremendously stupid
Dems were absolutely moderate in the last election. All the antitrans stuff came from the right and Dems barely addressed it. Maybe if the Dems had given full-throated supported to not demonizing trans kids, like they did for gays during the gay marriage debate, Dems might have won.
Instead they played the perennially losing “I’m a moderate” game.

The idiots insisting that the Dems spoke about Trans and DEI etc are, well, idiots.
What they talked about is the effect Trump would have on the economy and grocery prices with his planned economic policies in Project 2025; aka the shit we're living through right now. They talked about it, Trump and his surrogates denied it up and down and changed the topic to divisive non-issues like Trans and DEI, their online trolls (well represented as always on DL, still to this minute) picked up the signals and hammered on those topics relentlessly while denying that Project 2025 was real or planned for by Trump, and, well, here we are.
Still with these idiots talking about Trans and DEI, and more idiots like R5 just taking the bait and furthering the lies.

Some of you (like R42 and R46) are naive if you think those who vote just listened to what the Democrats were saying from July-November 2024.
Since January 2021 (when Biden/Harris took office) they were in fact promoting/enforcing open borders, DEI, CRT, and trans/nonbinary ideology -- unpopular issues that scared off moderates.
Voters take into account the entire full term (four years), not just a couple of months toward the end.

What people here don't get is that the Democratic party needs to be electable for people in Los Angeles, CA and also in Parsons, KS.
Democrats are different everywhere. They have different needs and different wants. Many are impacted by poverty and unemployment. Others less so. So they have different priorities. Some grew up in a conservative area, others in a more progressive. And they all think that their view on things is the true Democratic approach.
