The DNC needs to spend a year traveling the country to meet with local and state level Democrats and choose what group is going to be the new face of the party. Like a giant casting call to replace all the faces associated with the party now. Force a lot of Dems into retirement. Publicly send the far leftists on their way. Take over and get on top of the trans and immigration issues among a few other key things.

Voters take into account the entire full term (four years), not just a couple of months toward the end.

Democrats are different everywhere. They have different needs and different wants. Many are impacted by poverty and unemployment. Others less so. So they have different priorities. Some grew up in a conservative area, others in a more progressive. And they all think that their view on things is the true Democratic approach.
