The Gays Of Our Times, a DL Wedding EXTRAVAGANZA: David Van Fleet Bloys and Joseph Justin Whited

Just a couple DC types who network a lot, according to the Times article, which I'll link in a subsequent post. Not so much extravaganza.

But there's this: "Luckily, they bumped into each other not once, but twice at the Penthouse Pool & Lounge, a private club in the U Street corridor of Washington." We all know this means "bathhouse". But they've probably got good health insurance and can manage "that".

They've decided to live about 70 miles apart.

Here's to the happy couple!

Do they not live together? They made a point to talk about residency.

I'm sure it's a wide open relationship.

Oops, sorry, I see now where OP said they are 70 miles apart. Missed that the first time, sorry.

Nice of them to share the joy of their 2% existence! Now back to my Aldi shopping list

by Anonymousreply 4June 15, 2025 12:23 PM

Aldi is GREAT! It's the exact same quality as expensive stores, but you can cut the amount of time you spend in the store by 1/2 because you can just take their version of raisin bran or cheddar cheese.

No wine, though, in the Pennsylvania Aldis.

They’re gross.

R2: "I'm sure it's a wide open relationship."

The article: "The couple chose to “spread it out to be really present,” Mr. Bloys said."

Which one of you high-toned Georgetown bitches called the cops at their first encounter at Zach Robbins'?

by Anonymousreply 8June 15, 2025 12:48 PM

I wish them well.

And am enormously glad I have my life, which is quite unlike theirs.

by Anonymousreply 9June 15, 2025 12:52 PM

They seem like good eggs and are legitimately accomplished. Puts me to shame. Don't get some of the snark, but that's DL for you.

whypipo.

Say Saucon Valley Country Club again!
