In July. The rules are exhausting.
I don't know if we can attend the WPI Festival On The Land

"Directions to The Land: We do not share this information publicly. You will receive the detailed directions after you register and pay."
Alternatively, just follow the bountiful trail of nutloaf crumbs....

Is the THE land or A land?

It’s THE land! Joy!
[quote]The We Want the Land Coalition was created to save the acres of land that were home for over 30 years to the Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival (MichFest), a place that many called “home.” MichFest was a place where we laughed, loved, learned, and struggled together; where we welcomed newborns and scattered the ashes of our beloved departed.

Fair warning—though this event is for women and girls born female, other events may include men who were born female and [please brace yourself] women who were born male. Accordingly, please understand that penises may have been on the land.

Man on the land!

To whom is the concentration camp for penised persons accessible? Brother Sun is it called? I am seriously considering making a documentary about Fest and need to do intimate research. Yeah - research.

I do hope they have Shame Inducing Showers.

I'm a woman and I'm going.

As a longtime enthusiast of Michfest threads here, I listened to Lisa Vogel’s memoir on Audible earlier this year. It’s about 50% longer than it needs to be, but it definitely scratched an itch. It confirms a lot of the bizarre lore that I’ve encountered on DL about boundaries and fat womyn on garbage duty and the Brother Sun gulag. There is, I shit you not, a chapter titled “Cilantro”.

So happy! I’m twirling as I type!

How are they going to avoid traffic lines on the road? Even if everybody is sitting in town waiting to arrive, when it’s time to open the gates, everybody will descend en masse.
I understand that it’s because they had to make an agreement with the town to not cause a traffic jam but it just seems hard to avoid.

I can’t attend, my penis is too big.

WHET the original MichFest? Is it still in Mich? The State is not even stated on this website.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 13, 2025 8:37 PM |
R16 after some reading I found a reference to Oceana County, which I assume is Michigan.

R16, MichFest stopped about ten years ago now. They just couldn’t keep it going. Times were changing.

It said Whiskey Creek Campground.
[quote]Event Participants may arrive no earlier than 9 am on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. CARS MAY NOT FORM A LINE ON THE COUNTY ROAD. Women waiting in line will be asked to leave. Places to wait: Hart, Whiskey Creek Campground store, or John Gurney. Our campground license was dependent on our promise to never have a line on the county road.
I have never been, nor will I ever go, to this kind of event.
This is the kind of stuff that makes me hate other lesbians.

We are telling you NOW so we don’t have to tell you THEN.

I don't get it; you can't form a line of cars to get in but have to wait somewhere else. What is the magical signal that tells you when it's time to approach the entrance without that causing you to form a line? Do you take a number?

I’m BOYCOTTING this year’s MilkFest (sorry, WPI Festival on the Land 🙄) due to the literal sexual assault this T-shirt design is committing upon my ladybits.
Look at it. LOOK at it. The dragonfly’s phallic abdomen is performing a graphic, unsolicited act of insectoid penetration. I haven’t been this violated by a t-shirt since the Radical Faerie Nude Jamboree incident of 1995.
I DEMAND the name of the artist responsible for this entomological outrage so I may report her to the Commission on the Status of Women at the UN—and possibly The Hague.

I give them a pass on the car line on Country Road if it was dependent on their license.
However, as others have stated, how do they prevent that from happening? The people issuing the license must not want this to happen.

[quote] However, as others have stated, how do they prevent that from happening?
Maybe they just have to state that there is to be no line and that will make the people issuing the license happy. It's impossible for cars not to be in a line on the road as they enter the park.
