And so is the gay community. It’s over. No one who matters cares about Pride Month anymore. Most of the allies were there for the gays, and now that the gays have left, so have they. My gay coworker who organizes the Pride Month events for the company can’t get any volunteers. Everyone said no. He asked me and I also said no.
Pride is DEAD to me!

Calm down.

At my company, the allies (i.e., straight woman you lot would call “fraus”) do the heavy lifting: planning, decorating, sending out announcements, getting the flag for the flag raising ceremony, and strong-arming a few of us gays and lesbians (who, yes, show up at the events for free treats and whatever else is free and good) into actually being a L or G face for the event. Meanwhile, I look at Grindr and I know there’s A LOT more gays who are actually onsite who could help.
I’m lazy. I’m glad for the event and the work these ladies pour into it.

Also OP:
*I will never understand why the powers that be in the LGBTQ community kicked the gays to the curb in favor of the trans*
[quote]Why? Why on earth would they do this? What do they think is more relatable and more sympathetic?

Pride was tied to Gay and Lesbian civil rights, like marriage equality and preventing discrimination in the workplace and other capacities. It was also about fighting AIDS and just gaining acceptance and/or tolerance in our society. Since we got marriage equality, AIDS became much less of a crisis, and society has, for the most part, evolved to accept us, the importance of Pride is diminished. It's still a party, and I don't think there is anything wrong with being proud about being gay. Unfortunately, it has now been taken over by movements that I, personally, can't fully support, like the performative gender/pronoun radicals (many of them likely not even gay), and fighting to keep transexuals in women's sports, gender transitions for children, etc. So I am less interested in waving a flag about that stuff, because I don't support it.

OP and when you are DEAD in the MAGA ovens we won't care about an inane old kween. But can we have your stuff?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 12, 2025 7:41 PM |
PRIDE has been turned over to the Trans, like the flag.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 12, 2025 8:26 PM |
It was once about gay men and lesbians. Now it’s about transgender prostitutes and criminals who, according to HRC, always seem to be “tragically killed for existing” while engaging in unseemly criminal activity.

There once was a prostitute tranny
Whose prices were insanely uncanny
A buck for a fuck
Fifty cents for a fuck
And a dime for a feel of her fanny

[quote] getting the flag for the flag raising ceremony
You thought this added a flourish of verisimilitude, but really it just exposed this entire post as the bullshit that it is.

r14, this is what companies and governments do every year in June, although probably not at your job at Bubba's Tackle and IT Consulting Shop in Whothefuckcares, Mississippi.
Your perspective is not a surprise, coming from someone as common as yourself.

I work for Salesforce, R15.
70,000 employees. Headquartered in San Francisco at Salesforce tower.
A "flag raising ceremony" is not something anyone is currently doing or even was doing in the last 10 years. You made that shit up and you look and sound like an idiot for doing so.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 13, 2025 3:29 PM |
Correction: A flag raising ceremony is not something any COMPANY is currently doing ...
Maybe your local or state government is doing something corny like that. But no large corporation is doing that in 2025.

Then you're part of the problem.

The current occupant of The Oval Office is a convicted felon (34 "unseemly" counts, to be exact). Are you as critical of him as you are trannie prostitutes?

R10, Shouldn't it be a buck for a fuck, fifty cents for a suck...?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | June 13, 2025 3:54 PM |
R16, I have SCHOOLED your dumb ass. You aren’t at Salesforce. You’re some lowly contractor from Tata fucking around half a world away and wishing you could. But you can’t bitch.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 13, 2025 4:22 PM |
And one last one for, r16: the reason the company that you support as a contractor will not have a flag raising ceremony is because they bent the knee before Trump. They submitted themselves to Trump. They let him push them against the desk, pull down their pants, spread their nasty ass, and shove his fist so far up Salesforce’s ass that you FFelt it in some shitty village 400 km from Begaluru.

Interesting article — though many national sponsors have withdrawn, local businesses and people in New Orleans are funding Pride themselves.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 13, 2025 6:58 PM |
Every company is not the same.
Christ we have some dumb ones here. "I work for a company too and they NEVER have a flag raising! That means I'm right and you're wrong!"
SHUT THE FUCK UP
