Was Ricky Ricardo's full first name "Ricardo"?

It could also have been Enrique or Frederico, although Frederico often becomes Rico..

He should've been Quique or Kiki instead of Ricky.

But they used to make fun of Mr. Katimski on "My So-Called Life" because he thought Ricky's full name was "Enrique."

"Enrique" is a beautiful name.

But in Spanish (and Italian as "Enrico") its English translation is "Henry" .

Henry is a beautiful name as well.

R9 Maybe they thought "Little Ricky" had a better ring to it or maybe Desi Arnaz was unfamiliar with the proper translation of Spanish to English names.

Like every Latino guy, his first name was probably Jose and he used a nickname.

Personally, I prefer Little Ricky to RJ. People have a tendency to use intials when there's a junior, i.e. DJ, BJ (insert snort here).
