I need a really good chili recipe

I know chili isn't really a summer dish, but I'm craving it. If you have a good recipe, please share. Thanks!

This will end in tears.

Why yes...

I call it: Mr and Mrs Tenorman Chili

I always use Pat Neely's recipe. It's on the Food Network site.

I like this one. It is meant for a slow-cooker but can be done on the stove.

A ridiculous number of ingredients, but it yields a complex chili with layers of flavors

hunny just go to Costco and buy a tub. They make great chili.

I haven't made this one, but I do trust America's Test Kitchen.

Will there be cinnamon rolls?

by Anonymousreply 12June 12, 2025 5:01 AM

Of course there also must be coleslaw to go with all this. And cornbread. (Maybe just use Jiffy muffin mix?)

My aged mom had a question about chicken croquettes the other day (which I will never make) and said I should "look them up on my computer!"

I said, "Okay, but the thing is, anyone can post any horrible recipe there. After we get Julia Child's and the New York Times cook, and stuff we can trust, there's going to be , like... Great Aunt Ida's Sweet Potato Croquettes, or something by... [italic]Simply Sara!"[/italic]

She said, "Who?"

That’s nifty.

Honestly the secret is:

Serve with genuine Fritos.

It should be a little sweet.

I admit I skip the meat. I don’t mind ground beef but I don’t buy it often. What do you put in besides beans, onions, tomatoes, peppers or mushrooms. I tried sweet potatoes I was on the fence.

Chopped eggplant

Remember when canned pumpkin was suggested as an addition?

No!
