The election was deemed illegitimate because a trans woman of color did not win. It will be held again, with one seat saved for a trans woman of color and one seat reserved for Cole Escola.
La Belle Hogg is removed from vice chair post, and announces he won’t run again

This is why the democrats are becoming irrelevant and we're headed for Gilead.
I was not a particular fan of his, but removing him is a disgusting abuse of power and exactly why young people, especially young white men, don't trust the dems and have flocked to cheeto, maga, and the rethugs.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 12, 2025 12:32 AM |
This is tough. I want everyone to feel included and safe, especially now, but this isn’t the way to do business. It’s a one way ticket to nowhere.
I think we can see fully why the push back on Trumpism has been minimal.

[quote]I think we can see fully why the push back on Trumpism has been minimal.
It's EXACTLY because the dems pull crap like this that people don't see any difference between the rethugs and dems, except the rethugs play weekend daddy and tell them what they want to hear while the dems spout nonsense.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 12, 2025 12:37 AM |
Well, he wanted to run primary opponents against incumbent Democrats. Dumbass needed to go.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 12, 2025 1:00 AM |
R1, perhaps you shouldn't listen to the lying OP.
R2, there have been protests everywhere and Trump's approval rating is down to 38%
by Anonymous | reply 5 | June 12, 2025 1:09 AM |
OP, stop lying. Go back to protesting the three trans athletes in your state
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 12, 2025 1:10 AM |
They didn’t want him to help primary the old guard because DNC leadership is perfectly happy with congressmen and congresswomen who are the average age of 84, out of touch, and incapable of fighting Trump.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 12, 2025 1:12 AM |
His job was not to primary incumbents who usually win. He can do that without being a DNC leader. He seems to a massive idiot on top of everything else.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 12, 2025 1:15 AM |
Enjoy continuing to lose then, R8. Do you want to be right or do you want to win?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 12, 2025 1:18 AM |
He got hog-fucked..
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 12, 2025 1:18 AM |
Hogg is a grifter asswipe. He was claiming that his family was having financial problems when his father was dying.
I wouldn't be surprised if uses money from his PACs for his personal gain.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 12, 2025 1:30 AM |
I think exposing Dems to possible loss of those seats would be yet another example of clutching defeat from the jaws of victory. It’s true that Dems need more fierce electeds, but I’m highly doubtful Hogg’s gambit would have paid off.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 12, 2025 1:32 AM |
Another "progressive" grifter people need to be aware of is Kat Abughazaleh. She's another whiny twerp like Hogg.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | June 12, 2025 1:35 AM |
Good Riddance. I never saw the little princess do anything but whine. His interview with Maher a few weeks ago was a masterclass of what we are doing wrong in the Democratic Party.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 12, 2025 1:47 AM |
What are his qualifications again? His school got shot up so he got a free ride to an elite university?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 12, 2025 1:47 AM |
R15 = And a BOOK DEAL.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 12, 2025 1:51 AM |

More Trannies in DNC Leadership!!!

Hogg showed what an asshole he was in the aftermath of the Michigan State University shooting. He appeared at some rally near the campus where he said that people needed to be ready to hold Gretchen Whitmer "accountable". He ignored the fact that checks and balances still limit Whitmer as governor and a lot of bills are heavily dependent on what goes on in a state legislature.
In Hogg's pea brain mind Whitmer was the only person "who needed to be held accountable" and he made no mention of state legislators who introduce or vote on bills. Another sad part was that Whitmer us an MSU alum and lived in East Lansing for many years and represented that area as a state represenative and state senator. Hogg had no fucking empathy for a government leader who is very connected to the university where the shooting happened. He wanted to rake her over the coals.

All David Hogg seems to want to do is whine, grift, platform himself and punch moderate/centrist Dems. Some of whom manage to win in purple or purple/red districts.

[quote] All David Hogg seems to want to do is whine, grift, platform himself and punch moderate/centrist Dems. Some of whom manage to win in purple or purple/red districts.
This is a problem with Hogg and progressives. They do not get that centrist Dems are needed to win in purple or red areas. Also, many registered Democrats are never going to convert or accept progressive policies.
Many progressive YouTubers like Sam Seder and his brat sidekick Emma Vigeland also spew a lot of unnecessary vitriol towards moderate or centrist Democrats. After Sarah McBride was elected to Congress, Vigeland was whining on the Majority Report about McBride is a moderate. I cracked up laughing because Vigeland and others still don't get that many millennials are centrist Dems.
I know this won't happen, but I would love it if some moderate Democrat (think Elissa Slotkin, Mikie Sherrill, or someone similar) became the first female president because you just know people like Hogg, Emma Vigeland and other progressive brats would have meltdowns.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 12, 2025 2:35 AM |
The problem is that Centrist democrats will sit and scream how all Republicans are evil and embrace dictatorship and facism when one is in the White House, but the second a Denocrat is in view of winning, it becomes how Republicans aren’t so bad and we need them to win. Either they’re facists or not. You would have thought this would have been crystal clear after Trumps first time when almost next to none spoke out against him, but there we were in Harris campaign praising a woman who voted with Trump 90% of the time and her father who led the second most destructive Republican regime after Trumps. WE.DONT.LEARN. I mean, rehabilitating the Cheneys!?
The Democrats spend more time chasing Republicans and begging for their votes than they do the overwhelming number of people who don’t vote for either party because they feel both are the same. Fair weather Republicans who would only minutely consider voting Democratic if it affects them personally. Instead of showing couch sitters HOW we’re different.
It’s not going to get any better until this changes.

David Hogg is dreamy.

I’m left of AOC but Hogg is really unlikable. It isn’t good to keep sending him on TV. And there’s no reason to think he knows how to get results actually running against Republicans. However, there really does need to be some urgency in pivoting away from our obsession with seniority and fundraising.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | June 12, 2025 11:55 AM |
Hogg is opportunist. I have wondered what Columbine survivors' views of Hogg. I can' t imagine most of them findinging him likeable.

Few incumbent Democrats are worth a goddamn. Playing old and timid has had no small role in landing Democrats in the frightening position in which they find themselves. If you don't have an incumbent who is a powerful voice against the Republicans, who is afraid of losing their seats not for the direction of the country but for the direction of their career and their finances, lose them, and fast.
