Hey, Gays, any of you see Grace Jones in DC, NY or Chicago this past week?

So jealous of you!

Grace is perfect.

She is appearing here in Italy at the Lido di Camaiore, Tuscan beach at the end of June. I would go, but I already shot my load on Pet Shop Boys in Lucca the following month. Plus it is standing room only and I am too old to be standing around, wondering when she might appear.

We were lucky to see Grace perform “Hurricane” in NYC around Halloween- right before Hurricane Sandy hit!

Grace, Jessica Lange, and Jerry Hall were roommates in Paris in the 70s. This was before they all hit it big. Can you imagine?

One of my ultimate "NYC Stories" is when I was a young gayling brand new to the city in the late 90s. I was young and cute, so I was able to sneak into places like LIFE down on Bleecker St. when Kenny Kenny was the doorman. One special night I was able to sneak into the VIP room in the back where Lady Bunny would spin. I was by myself and sat down at a banquette with a group of other people. And before I knew it they were bringing out a cake and singing Happy Birthday. In the middle of my same banquette was Grace Jones. They were celebrating her 50th birthday that night and I just happened to be there sitting with her. Much like when I saw the second tower fall a couple of years later, I knew I was witnessing history being made.

Oh, God. R6 pulling the rug out from under us with that last sentence! Reminds me of the time I set sail on the Titanic...
