What do you consider the best Star Trek series?

The Next Generation was my first exposure to Star Trek, so I'll always rank that highest. But DS9 took the franchise in directions no one expected (i.e., the Dominion War) and had a greater depth to its stories.

Strange New Worlds is carrying the torch of the franchise far better than Discovery ever did. Discovery might be the worst of the spinoffs.

I've always loved Voyager. Best captain and good set design/visual effects.

Yep my dad was a boomer who was a fan of the original from the 60s, and I grew up watching TNG. Later DS9 and Voyager, though I didn’t keep up with them as closely as with TNG when younger.

My main thought regarding the New Treks has been “too many cooks in the kitchen,” because they mostly seemed like a jumbled, incoherent mess. But I loved what they did with Picard Season 3. The first two seasons of Picard could be skipped entirely, IMO, as they didn’t amount to much and Season 3 stood on its own, plot wise. I saw it did get criticized from some corners as “too much fan service” but still, I loved it. It’s the one aspect of newer Trek I’ll go back and rewatch on occasion.

Where is the Mandawhoreian? My fave!!!

Sentimentally I would choose "The Original Series", although I think "The Next Generation" probably had better writing.

I’m rewatching TNG on Roku and really enjoying the ensemble cast.

There will always be a special place in my heart for Voyager, even though they had some godawful episodes. When Voyager was good it was outstanding, when it was bad it was just utter shit.
