Vomitous New Yorkers play dress up at a life size replica of Barbie's DreamHouse Temple of Dendur

Says the Times: "A Global Community Joins ‘the Conversation’ at the Met’s Rockefeller Wing" (free version of article in post below - take Punch's subscription fees!)

"In an effort to pay respect to the spirit of the art, the Pacific Delegation of the committee opened the dinner with a Maori call and response. And to signify that it was time to go from dinner to the party, several people went onstage and began to play conch shells. The blare reverberated between the museum’s walls."

"Over lobster, foie gras, wine and champagne, friends of the Met and members of the Rockefeller family mingled among the 1,726 objects in the new gallery, which cost $70 million to complete and has 40,000 square feet dedicated to the arts of those regions."

DEI-related High Culture extravaganza by New York elite who never accepted Trump.

If he hears about it, he and his cult will rage!

by Anonymousreply 4June 8, 2025 1:53 PM

How can they rage, R4? They're doing the same thing, except with NASCAR instead of art looted by the Rockefellers.

I’m bitter they never identify, locate, find, and transport me to these affairs based upon my witty internets banter and blowjob knees….

We all enjoy world class museums and the Met is a crown jewel.

Rich people support and donate to museums with their collections and cash. Yes, there's mainly white people up in there.

Do you really not understand how things work, OP? I guess we should shut the place down because fundraisers are dopey, then?

by Anonymousreply 7June 8, 2025 3:56 PM

I get how it works, r7. And I am in favor of tearing it all down. Rich people, treading for other rich people. When the revolution finally comes, I hope it starts at the met gala.

Let the river run 🩸

*parading - not treading.

But more of their 🩸🩸 in any event.
