I tried it for 5 min. and fled in disgust. Everything was an extra charge and I got inundated with fake inquiries.

People need to stop using it to teach them a lesson. The prices are ridiculous for what they are asking. They want more than my cable bill.

Immediately, I could only see the profiles of nine guys.

Even worse, the first three guys were all 20 to 100 miles away (I imagine they are paying to be on "top.")

I live in a college town, and used to have at least 20 guys within a half a mile or so.

Now, I really only have six guys I can see close by.

100% just looking at Scruff now.

I've been experiencing this WEIRD phenomenon on Grindr where local guys will chat me up, we'll have a hot exchange or two together, I'll 'star' them and then they'll completely disappear from the app and/or block me. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. OF. THEM. It's just bizarre. When I look at my starred list, literally every single one of the local guys I've chatted with and subsequently starred is gone. I must've starred at least 50 of these supposedly local guys and yet when I look at my starred list, the closest guy is like five cities away from me! Surely that many guys can't be catfishing me and that many guys can't be joining and then deleting the app so flitteringly (not a word). WTF is going on? Am I chatting with bots or something?

Just yesterday I chatted with a twink who claimed to be local to me. After I starred him I noticed that the app was showing him as being 1,000+ miles away. So I simply asked him, "Grindr is showing you as 1,000 miles away right now?" and BOOM! He blocked me. WTF?
