Israel Commits Genocide in Gaza

“They killed my mother — and before that, my brother. I urge everyone: do not go to the American aid distribution points soaked in blood. This bag only contains 2 empty flour sacks — nothing else — & yet they shot & killed my mother as she tried to get us something to eat today.”

Heartbreaking: A child bids farewell to his mother, killed by the Israeli army and American mercenaries in a massacre near the aid center west of Rafah.

Around 1,000 Palestinians have been killed or injured within one week

by Anonymousreply 1June 4, 2025 5:07 AM

What is happening in Gaza is beyond any brutality we have seen in the last many centuries.

A starving young Palestinian father and his 6 year-old son pictured on the NYT website today. It's heartbreaking.

by Anonymousreply 5June 4, 2025 1:10 PM

I agree that it’s genocide, but who are the American mercenaries? Are you referring to the Israeli military R1?

by Anonymousreply 6June 4, 2025 1:14 PM

Everyone is just sitting by watching it happen and breathlessly reporting on it. Ironically, similar to the concentration camps in WW2: everyone knew what was going on, but no one wanted to get 'involved'.

by Anonymousreply 7June 4, 2025 5:40 PM

Maybe the "Palestinians" should stop being and supporting terrorists?

Just a thought.

by Anonymousreply 8June 4, 2025 6:39 PM

[quote]Everyone is just sitting by watching it happen and breathlessly reporting on it. Ironically, similar to the concentration camps in WW2: everyone knew what was going on, but no one wanted to get 'involved'.

No, that's not what is happening as as you full well know.

There has been plenty of food in Gaza the entire time. Hamas have been hoarding it and killing looters and protestors.

Hamas have been conducting mass killings and blaming it on the IDF and Hamas statements have been reported by media organisations as fact with no investigation.

Hamas have continually rejected a ceasefire because they would rather carry on fighting and holding hostages than "free Palestine".

Hamas are the Nazis, Hamas have always been the Nazis and always will be the Nazis.

by Anonymousreply 9June 4, 2025 8:46 PM

Alrighty then

by Anonymousreply 10June 4, 2025 9:28 PM

Damn, seems like Hamas would release ALL the hostages if they cared about their people. Why give Israel excuse to continue killing. Makes absolute no sense. They obviously have zero leverage with the hostages.

by Anonymousreply 11June 4, 2025 9:36 PM

[quote]Why give Israel excuse to continue killing.

Israel cannot be trusted. It is a thieving, genocidal barbaric disgrace and a thorn in the side of the entire world.

by Anonymousreply 12June 4, 2025 9:55 PM

Yes, October 7 was bad. It never should have happened. However, the entire war is lopsided and genocidal. Hamas killed 1200 Israelis. Israel has now killed upward of 100,000 innocent Palestinians. It is out of control, and Israel is working to annihilate an entire population. It is barbaric and inhumane.

Stop supporting and providing money and military aid to Israel.

by Anonymousreply 13June 4, 2025 9:58 PM

I’m not talking about Jsrael r12. I am talking about Hamas. Right now the hostages are doing them more harm than good. They are protecting them from zilch AND are only giving Israel a great excuse to continue fighting? I mean honestly, what are they getting from keeping them?

by Anonymousreply 14June 4, 2025 10:21 PM

R13 what did Hanas think was going to happen, do you think? Oct 7 WASN’T retaliation. It was a provocation. Honestly, what do you think was their reason? Of course Israel was going to annihilate them.

I mean come on, there were over 200,000 upwards of half a million Iraqi deaths when we invaded. And America didn’t even have a reason. Yet we’re freedom fighters and Israelis are genocidal maniacs.

by Anonymousreply 15June 4, 2025 10:27 PM

Yes, the Israelis are genocidal maniacs. They are killing innocent Palestinians who have no control over Hamas.

Condemn and abandon Israel.

by Anonymousreply 16June 5, 2025 6:31 AM

"The British and Americans are genocidal maniacs. They are killing innocent Germans who have no control over the Nazis"

"The Ukrainians are genocidal maniacs. They are killing innocent Russians who have no control over Putin"

by Anonymousreply 17June 5, 2025 6:59 AM

I find it absolutely mind blowing that liberals aren’t mentioning the October 7th attacks at all. It’s like Palestinians have carte blanche to commit whatever heinous acts they want and if their victims retaliate everyone feels sorry for the Palestinians anyway because they are entitled to do whatever they want. Liberals love Palestinians, because, why exactly? Because they’re so horrible to women and gays? Because their women look like donkeys? Because they’re murderous bloodthirsty Muslims? Because they destabilize every other Arab country they infiltrate?

by Anonymousreply 18June 5, 2025 7:14 AM

R9, Israel has claimed that Hamas has been stealing and hoarding aid, although U.S. officials have said that Israel has not provided proof for those claims. As it turns out, Netanyahu, without running this past his cabinet, has been giving weapons to a DIFFERENT group of Islamic terrorists in Gaza, adversaries of Hamas, and that group has been looting aid trucks. This will totally not blow up in Israel's face, will it?

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 20June 5, 2025 6:58 PM

Yeah R20, arming your enemy's enemy is never the solution. A very bad move from Netanyahu and his military advisors.

But are you seriously so naive you don't believe Hamas are hoarding food? Based on your extensive knowledge of the last 2 years. You haven't seen any videos of Hamas gunmen on aid trucks, shootings at warehouses, punishment attacks for looting etc.

by Anonymousreply 21June 5, 2025 7:05 PM

R21, yes, for the past year and a half, at least, there have been numerous reports of gangs attacking aid trucks. Yes, Israel says that this is all Hamas’s doing. But other countries have not agreed that Hamas is systematically stealing aid. Gaza is full of rival gangs, other terrorist groups, and desperate people; anyone and everyone is stealing food.

by Anonymousreply 22June 5, 2025 8:14 PM

Hamas is playing the long game with the hostages, holding them to goad Israel into more and more extreme measures, which Hamas in turn uses to turn international opinion further against Israel.

Progressives are lapping it up. It’s chic now to hate Israel as a western imperial white colonizing entity.

by Anonymousreply 23June 5, 2025 8:24 PM

[quote]which Hamas in turn uses to turn international opinion further against Israel

Really R23? I don’t think there is much Mas left in Hamas. Their leaders get picked off as soon as they pop up like whac-a-mole. There is no long game left for them. They wanted to pull the rest of the Muslim world in on this. But the only people who actually fight for them are in the west.

by Anonymousreply 24June 5, 2025 9:03 PM

R24, no one is fighting for Hamas. There is no “war.” It’s just Israel leveling Gaza.

by Anonymousreply 25June 5, 2025 9:11 PM

Really R25?

Then why are Israeli soldiers still getting killed and why are there still hostages in Gaza tunnels?

by Anonymousreply 26June 5, 2025 9:14 PM

In deliberating these issues, I cannot but draw on my personal and professional background. I served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for four years, a term that included the 1973 Yom Kippur War and postings in the West Bank, northern Sinai and Gaza, ending my service as an infantry company commander. During my time in Gaza, I saw first-hand the poverty and hopelessness of Palestinian refugees eking out a living in congested, decrepit neighbourhoods. Most vividly, I remember patrolling the shadeless, silent streets of the Egyptian town of ʿArīsh – which was then occupied by Israel – pierced by the gazes of the fearful, resentful population observing us from their shuttered windows. For the first time, I understood what it meant to occupy another people.

by Anonymousreply 27June 5, 2025 9:15 PM

What was the Yom Kippur war R27? Can you give a brief summary to explain?

by Anonymousreply 28June 5, 2025 9:19 PM

Of course, the Israeli public long ago became inured to the brutal occupation that has characterised the country for 57 out of the 76 years of its existence. But the scale of what is being perpetrated in Gaza right now by the IDF is as unprecedented as the complete indifference of most Israelis to what is being done in their name. In 1982, hundreds of thousands of Israelis protested against the massacre of the Palestinian population in the refugee camps Sabra and Shatila in western Beirut by Maronite Christian militias, facilitated by the IDF. Today, this kind of response is inconceivable. The way people’s eyes glaze over whenever one mentions the suffering of Palestinian civilians, and the deaths of thousands of children and women and elderly people, is deeply unsettling......

by Anonymousreply 29June 5, 2025 9:24 PM

I have to laugh at the Zionists who appear in these threads defending the crazed depravity of this Israeli genocide and mass murder. "We're the good guys!"

by Anonymousreply 30June 5, 2025 9:35 PM

I don't think Israel are the good guys, but they're certainly not as bad as Hamas, the government of Gaza, who are cheered on by millions in the West.

by Anonymousreply 31June 5, 2025 9:38 PM

Correct, Israelis are not as bad as Hamas.

They're much much worse than Hamas. They're in a an ethnic supremacist death cult

by Anonymousreply 32June 5, 2025 9:43 PM

Hamas was funded by Israel as an antidote to the secular, left wing Palestinian Authority

In an interview with an Israeli journalist, Dan Margalit in December 2012, Netanyahu told Margalit that it was important to keep Hamas strong, as a counterweight to the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank. Netanyahu also added that having two strong rivals, this would lessen pressure on him to negotiate towards a Palestinian state. [34]

In an interview with Politico in 2023, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said that "In the last 15 years, Israel did everything to downgrade the Palestinian Authority and to boost Hamas." He continued saying "Gaza was on the brink of collapse because they had no resources, they had no money, and the PA refused to give Hamas any money. Bibi saved them. Bibi made a deal with Qatar and they started to move millions and millions of dollars to Gaza."[38] At a Likud party conference in 2019, Benjamin Netanyahu said:

"Anyone who wants to thwart the establishment of a Palestinian state has to support bolstering Hamas and transferring money to Hamas ... This is part of our strategy – to isolate the Palestinians in Gaza from the Palestinians in the West Bank."[39][40]

by Anonymousreply 33June 5, 2025 9:57 PM

You have to laugh r30? You mean like a lunatic?

by Anonymousreply 34June 5, 2025 11:05 PM

by Anonymousreply 35June 5, 2025 11:27 PM

Blockade food and supplies from going into Israel. See how these genocidal motherfuckers like a taste of what they are doing to the Palestinians.

by Anonymousreply 36June 5, 2025 11:56 PM

Gaza/Hamas "Palestinians"- all the same, are determined terrorists. It is a zero sum game for them and no solution other than "Death to Israel!" has ever, or will ever suffice. The ONLY way to snuff out every last terrorist is to eliminate them. Every last one. This is the "solution" Hamas/Gaza has CHOSEN FOR THEMSELVES and at some point they have communicated this to Israel.

This is their one true desire and frankly, we should let it play out. They will have no other way. I don't let it bother me for five minutes. Jihadist terrorists make their own trouble.

by Anonymousreply 37June 6, 2025 1:23 AM

[quote] I find it absolutely mind blowing that liberals aren’t mentioning the October 7th attacks at all.

R18, I find it mind-blowing that you and your Zionist apologists all over DL never mention what was happening to the Palestinians by Israel BEFORE Oct. 7.

by Anonymousreply 38June 6, 2025 1:35 AM

R38 Who cares? Why do Stone Age barbarians deserve the dignity they deny others?

by Anonymousreply 39June 6, 2025 1:45 AM

Yes, Hamas is a terrorist organization. Yes, Oct 7 was a horrendous attack and a violent response to it was inevitable.

But Israel has lost the goodwill and support that they've had for decades and decades. If they are to retain any support in the future, they need to get rid of Netanyahu and the Israeli fascists responsible for this debacle. As a kid I wanted to be Jewish, I wanted to go and live and work on a kibbutz. Now it's all changed.

by Anonymousreply 40June 6, 2025 1:51 AM

R39, I'm not talking about Israel.

by Anonymousreply 41June 6, 2025 2:10 AM

Israel is killing worthless dregs who contribute nothing to the world but terrorism, wife beating, and misery. We should be thanking Israel for their service.

by Anonymousreply 42June 6, 2025 5:54 AM

I'm fascinated by the people who spit out Zionist like it's an insult.

What do you mean? Jew? An unapologetic supporter of Israel? Someone who thinks Israel has a right to exist and make its people safe in the same way any country does?

by Anonymousreply 43June 6, 2025 6:17 AM

Anyone on this thread defending Israel needs to take a long hard look at themselves. There is no “defending” going on - Israel is simply annihilating innocent people in pursuit of Greater Israel. Murderers all. Sadly its murderous influence infects the West which supports it to the hilt.

by Anonymousreply 44June 6, 2025 8:25 AM

R42, Oddly enough R42, I really think the rest of the muslim world IS thanking Israel. That is the part that is going unsaid. Are any of them even saying anything, sending any aid, lifting a hand to help? No... I think the Muslim countries that have money have really gotten a taste for it and have put aside all this jihadist shit and want to move forward with economic partnerships.

by Anonymousreply 45June 6, 2025 8:56 AM

R43 I want to go back to the days when people like Lauryn Hil and others were naming their kids Zion. Anyone who is using it as an insult is obviously new to the word and is under a certain age.

by Anonymousreply 46June 6, 2025 8:58 AM

R46 and the extremely disingenuous R43 pretend to need it spelled out: a Zionist today is an extreme Israeli nationalist or sympathizer (usually right-wing) who falsely classifies every aggression committed by Israel as necessary for the "safety" of Israel and enthusiastically supports the criminal Netanyahu. This does not mean the nation of Israel as a whole is entirely Zionist--not at all. Many Israelis and Jews throughout the world are appalled and have always been appalled by the crimes committed against the Palestinians by Israel. I know many such Jews and they're my friends. R43 and R46 would like to pretend otherwise but the world knows better.

This is not about the safety of Israel or its right to exist. That's a lie still being used to excuse any revolting behavior of Israel, which R43/R46 fail(s) to mention and will never mention, but again, the world sees through this phony stance.

by Anonymousreply 47June 6, 2025 11:54 AM

Just one more caustic back-and-forth and we'll solve this conflict, girls. Right here on DL!

by Anonymousreply 48June 6, 2025 1:36 PM

So, R47, you believe that Israel has a right to exist and that it has a right to keep its people safe?

Congratulations, you're a Zionist!

Cambridge Dictionary here;

[quote]an international political and religious movement that supported establishing an independent Jewish state in Palestine and that supports the modern state of Israel.

The Oxford one is functionally much the same

Nothing about supporting Netanyahu who is a corrupt shitheel with appalling judgement. Or about pretenting that Israel or the IDF never do anything wrong. And yes there have been crimes committed by Israel/ the IDF. It would be silly to pretend that either Israel or the IDF are perfect or even consistently good, the nonsense about them being the "most moral fighting force in the world" is just that.

But acknowledging all that you need to hold Hamas and Israel's other enemies to the same standard, and also acknowledge that much of the tragic death and suffering in Gaza arises directly from Hamas tactics, such as targeting Israeli civilians and deliberately using Gazan civilians as pawns, tools and human shields. Yes there have been atrocities committed by the IDF, but put in that situation the same would occur if it was any army in the world, and I include the army of my own country in that. Its all very easy to be the most moral army in the world if you arent fighting a war, and especially a war against a terrorist enemy that adheres to none of the rules of the Geneva convention.

by Anonymousreply 50June 6, 2025 2:08 PM

[quote] Congratulations, you're a Zionist!

Wrong, R49.

Zionism, way back when, in the late 1800s and early 1900s, as supported by Rothschild and other prominent Jews, had to do with supporting a Jewish homeland. That was well in advance of what has become Israel. It's like Republicans claiming to be the party of Lincoln. Historically, yes, Republicans were, and that was when Republicans were the Democrats of their day--anti-slavery, pro-human, and anti-Confederate. Today, that Repuublican party and its attitudes doesn't exist. It's now the party of racist, hard right-wing, quasi-fascism. The same with what Zionism has become. The excuse that it's about protecting itself is predicated upon a lie and ignores many, many decades of vicious, inhuman oppression of the people who were there long before them, using the excuse it's protecting itself from the land's rightful residents.

by Anonymousreply 51June 6, 2025 2:11 PM

[quote] it's protecting itself from the land's rightful residents.

I should add to that: the rightful residents, or to be euphemistic, "original" residents, who have no power against Israel and are only being used by Hamas, which is a terrorist organization.

by Anonymousreply 52June 6, 2025 2:13 PM

Please show r51 some mercy. He’s already printed up the t-shirts… things like the truth that go against his particular narrative are just inconvenient at this point.

by Anonymousreply 53June 7, 2025 3:46 PM

I even asked AI what Zionism is:

Zionist is someone who supports the Zionist movement, which is a modern political movement advocating for a Jewish homeland in the Land of Israel, also known as Palestine. This movement's core belief is that Jews, as a nation, deserve a homeland and that the best way to achieve this is through the establishment of a Jewish state in Israel.

by Anonymousreply 54June 7, 2025 3:50 PM

I can only assume that you have to be a deranged Muslim to understand the Palestinian mindset, and why they insist on self destructing. Poland has been knocked down repeatedly by Germany and Russia and they just keep getting up and rebuilding. Chinese Americans were discriminated against, and they kept going and did very well for themselves. Japanese Americans had everything taken away from them during World War II, and they picked themselves up, dusted themselves off, and kept going.

For reasons that are incomprehensible to intelligent people, the Palestinians have decided to repeatedly attack Israel and then sit in their rubble and whine and cry about their victimhood, instead of advocating for themselves in a mature way and integrating peacefully with Israel.

by Anonymousreply 55June 7, 2025 4:12 PM

There are countless videos of Hamas torturing Palestinians who are accepting aid, and now the aid project has stopped operations.

And Israel recovered the body of one of the Thai hostages today.

by Anonymousreply 56June 7, 2025 4:20 PM

Talk about shamelessly blaming the victims, R55--who were there first, by the way. So much for Zionism--which means a desire to have a homeland where Palestinians already lived. And how do Palestinians peacefully integrate with Israel when Israel keeps expanding its territories?
