The football hooligan mentality is some kind of bullshit excuse to be the worst version of yourself in a mob context. A lot of it has to do with copy-cat nonsense to commit similar destructive acts they saw displayed by other country sports fans that went out of control after their team won a big match. Major destruction and two people dead. Nice going.
