I just binged watched all nine episodes yesterday, and I am loving this cast.

It's shaping up to be one of my favorite seasons of BD, maybe because the majority of the cast is gay or bi. It's such a refreshing change from the usual straight shit we're always subjected to, on these shows.

Not only that, but I was ecstatic that the entire crew was non-American. At least, until Hugo showed up. American crew members absolutely bore me to tears, which is why I think this season is so much more interesting.

England, Scotland, Australia, Netherlands, South Africa, Brazil, France, and (I'm not sure what country Barbara is from) Portugal, maybe? And it's nice that Hugo is at least a mix of Honduran and Dominican. I love the diversity.

Chef Lawrence had me giggling throughout the first episode, because production kept juxtaposing scenes of him talking about how he's a "born again Christian," with him cursing and swearing and getting angry. Not to mention, smoking and drinking. I found that absolutely hilarious. I wish he had stayed.

But hiring Lawrence was obviously a plot to bring back Anthony. It was Fraser's "redemption arc." All last season after Anthony left, I 100% said that Fraser had a lot to do with Anthony getting fired, particularly because he talked so much shit behind Anthony's back. Watch the season again, and you'll see it. Barbie was right to tell Anthony. She wasn't lying.

What made it particularly upsetting for viewers, was that Anthony was so vulnerable and trusting of Fraser. He believed everything that Fraser told him, all while Fraser stabbed him in the back.

I'm sure Fraser got a ton of hate email from Below Deck viewers, so they had to try and make him look like the good guy again. Particularly by having him suggest Anthony, after Lawrence said he was quitting. Then Fraser could say, "but I was the one who helped you get your job back!"

That was such bullshit. Fraser's an asshole, plain and simple. A backstabbing, two-faced asshole.

I agree with all of you that Solene is a whore. She was really funny in the beginning, but once her true colors started to come out, I actually found her repulsive.

Same for Jess. She keeps apologizing to Kyle AND to Barbara, but I don't think she means it. She knew she was stealing Kyle's girlfriend, and she knew she was stringing Barbara along. Jess is totally, "sorry, not sorry!"
