Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16

Are there no RHOA fans here on DL? Twelve episodes in and there isn't a single blip.

With a host of new housewives, new personalities clashing with the old, what is your take on this season's drama so far. Thank god Porsha is back. Is her beef with her bestie Shamea fabricated for TV or very real? Half of the cast seems to be going through a divorce or just out of one. Which of the marriages remaining is doomed to fail first. Do these women own bras or do they just get in the way? Half the intrigue is waiting to see if any of them will pop out of their very tight and revealing dresses. Has Phaedra aged out of the franchise or will her return be a welcomed addition to the show? Would you rather have a rich ugly husband or a poor, shady hot one? What do you think of Drew Sidora's album? All these questions and more can be discussed in this thread. Come on, let's jump in.

I have to admit I have Drew's "Single Again" from her album I Did it to Me on repeat. She has to be one of the better recording artist to come out of any Housewives franchise. I didn't expect to like her songs as much as I do. Maybe it helps knowing her story and how her hot as hell Ralph Pittman did her dirty. But she put her sad story into her music and it was worth it.

I guess not…. I’ll enjoy it on my own.

I can’t imagine this show without Kenya, OP.

How is it without her. I have been avoiding it because of that.

I wish Kenya, Nene, Phaedra, Cynthia, Porsha, Sheree, Kim and Kandi were on the show again. It’s at its best when they’re all together.

R1 She was singing before she got involved in Housewives or Hollywood. She was trying to be a recording artist but Step Up took off.

R3, the show is fine without Kenya. She was in like the first four episodes, but she really overplayed her hand. She went out in a typical explosive Kenya style. It was so cringy. I suffer from second hand embarrassment, so I had to watch her last episode through my pillow. Last season she was upset that there wasn't enough coverage of her business journey and opening her salon. Season 15 barely touched on it. She was dragging RHOA all over the blogs after that. So I guess this season she wanted to make sure her salon opening made it on to the show, so she staged a huge scandal, but didn't really think of the legal repercussions of what she was doing. She had three huge placards of cast mate Brit showing all over her plastic surgery procedures and a huge one of a sex video she did sucking a guys dick. She had it blown up and showed like 200 people. It was considered showing revenge porn, even though it was already on the internet. She put Bravo in major jeopardy with a lawsuit and they fired her. That was it for Kenya. But you can watch it all unfold.

And R3, Porsha, Cynthia and even Phaedra are back on the show this season. So it's worth the watch.

R4, Drew says as much on this season. She as actually signed to Baby Face's label at some point and was part of a duo with Keri Hilson. One thing I enjoy about the Housewives is seeing how savvy some women are at producing their own storylines and how good they are at making it seem organic. You can really tell when it's forced or fake. But actually Drew is smart. She chose to produce her album with Porsha's ex Dennis. Now she could have chosen any of the hundreds of music producers in Atlanta. Dennis wasn't even know as a music producer, just a business man. BUT that smart choice made sure that storyline made it on to the show. So basically you have 12 episodes of promotion for Drew's album - which is actually really good, solid r&b.
