Greta is a middle class highly privileged woman from a wealthy family who will never need to work for the rest of her life.

She wouldn't consider becoming a nurse, a cleaner, a shop worker, a key worker because people from her background are better than that.

So she became a campaigner for the attention despite a lot of her arguments making no sense and contradicting each other. She sees the world in black and white and has no real knowledge about energy or any real solutions. See her position on nuclear power. And she campaigns for trans rights with the simple slogan with no real care about women's spaces, lesbian rights, gay rights, actual reality of people. It's all a slogan with no real answers.

Just as people were losing interest in her along came October 7th and she was in her keffiyeh before you could say "free the Bibas boys". She's not shown any real knowledge of understanding of anything that has happened in the Middle East and is doing this for attention .

I’m of two thought regarding Greta -

1. I can’t bring myself to dislike her, overall. She stands up and does try to do something. I’ll give her that. I think she takes more criticism than she honestly deserves.

2. But, I’m inclined to agree SOMETIMES, with SOME of her critics - that much of her activism seems performative, and her speeches and speaking style come off as histrionic or autism-influenced to an extent.

But I think there are far worse people in the world deserving of far more criticism than this young woman. In fact I would wish her well in life and her activism.
