He was claiming asylum based on his sexual orientation. But because his wife says "he is a man of god," they are now claiming he shouldn't be deported because he has an American wife.
ICE trying to deport gay Colombian man who married an American woman

Poor guy. Even in his trying to be straight photo, the flames are shooting everywhere.
One thing I don't quite get. Being gay is legal in Colombia, isn't it? What's the basis for the asylum claim?
(I'm obviously against the lack of due process going on with these cases, but not sure what the details of this man's case are.)

Trump is a colossal racist and I hope he dies soon.

When did he marry her? If he has his green card and the marriage was approved, he's a citizen. Doesn't matter if he's gay. Gay men (most of them Republican senators) marry women all the time in America and no one says boo. In fact, Christofascists tell us all the time that's what we should be doing if we don't want to burn in hell.

Why didn't he just become a camboy like all other Colombians

Don't you still have to apply for citizenship though R3? If you have a green card and you get married to an American citizen then it means you meet the prerequisites to apply for citizenship through naturalization. But you have to apply and follow the process. Looks like that's the step which was missed. But this guy (gay or not because that's his and his wife's business only) shouldn't be deported.
