Bidding is insane. Everything 10x the estimate but still some bargains. A sofa for $1000, an industrial sewing machine for $800.

My fondest wish is to reach a point where all of my belongings, including clothes, fit into 2 suitcases.

Does anyone know if he had children? It’s kind of amazing that the auction includes some of his father’s belongings and his childhood Christmas ornaments, like his Christmas stocking with “David” on it. Seems like some of these would have had sentimental value to family members.

Boy this auction comes fast on the heels of his death. I can't think of another celebrity whose belongings were auctioned so soon after death.
