I paid $220 to have a 19'' x 24'' print of this Herb Ritts photograph framed

And now I can't decide where to hang the damn picture. The bedroom and the living room are not options.

It could go into the so called media room, but no one is ever in that room. Whatever you think about the subject, this is a beautiful photograph. I want it to be seen. Just not in my bedroom or living room.

I am honestly considering hanging it in one of the bathrooms.

Old Italians belong in the Kitchen.

OP’s 74 years old and lives in a one bedroom five story walk up

by Anonymousreply 3May 30, 2025 9:17 PM

It's your money to waste.

No R3, OP is 44 years old and lives 1600 square foot two bedroom condo. 9th floor, thank you very much.

I probably shouldn't call it a media room though. It's more like a den. :-)

There’s no room next to your Nagels?

by Anonymousreply 7May 30, 2025 9:25 PM

I like it OP and think it would look good in any room.

r7 - perfect

I think thar picture is too subtle, you clearly want all of your house guess to know you’re a mincing queen.

Get this as a companion piece.

Oh gurl no.

by Anonymousreply 11May 30, 2025 9:39 PM

It belongs in the den. Or by the bar. Or in the pantry. You go into your pantry every day, right?

by Anonymousreply 12May 30, 2025 9:41 PM

Remind me, OP, what part of your post was supposed to impress us?

$220 spent in a frame?

Herb Ritts?

Madonna?

The floor plan of your condo?

Your need to impress people who can be impressed by that sort of thing?

The broader subject of the decline in art education and art literacy?

by Anonymousreply 13May 30, 2025 10:09 PM

End of hallway.

by Anonymousreply 14May 30, 2025 10:21 PM

A laundry room would be good for this.

by Anonymousreply 15May 30, 2025 10:22 PM

When he picked up his print, he also bought a 3 lb tub of buttercream frosting with a 30% off coupon.

by Anonymousreply 16May 30, 2025 10:25 PM

I paid $36 at Bed Bath And Beyond for a frame and adorned my bedroom with this poster.

You wasted your money, OP, and this thread says a LOT about you.

I have all my artwork framed here. Very helpful with insightful suggestions, and they feature prints and original works by local artists.

You know what that is in Liza’s hand, right?

by Anonymousreply 20May 30, 2025 11:09 PM

I paid 400+ dollars to frame an upscale paint-by-number of roses I found at a thrift store. It looks fabulous.

by Anonymousreply 21May 31, 2025 6:26 AM

Hang it outside on your front door.

Where in Bonita, CA, do you find a condo of that size, OP?

by Anonymousreply 24May 31, 2025 6:33 AM

Patti Lupone is a mean bitch these days R1. That's exactly what she would say.

by Anonymousreply 25May 31, 2025 6:45 AM

R13, you tried the hardest but still came in dead last with that nonsense.

by Anonymousreply 26May 31, 2025 7:13 AM

R26. Not as hard as you always "try," Teafake.

At this point I’m happy for anyone who hangs art on their walls. Spying on how other people furnish their homes was a key draw for my real estate porn addiction. Now, it’s gray or beige with perhaps a mass of sticks hanging from the ceiling.
