The opposite end of the spectrum is equally bogus; CNN posted an article claiming that because inflation is still at under 3%, Trump's tariffs are a massive success and all of the economists from both academia and Wall Street don't know what they're talking about when they forecast inflation skyrocketing. And of course the article was slanted and disingenuous when it blathered on about "core" inflation, hiding the fact that prices of products directly and immediately impacted by Trump's tariffs (like fruits and vegetables coming from Mexico) are either through the roof or simply unavailable. Avocados doubled in price in the last 2 weeks, and we didn't have an artichoke season this year (typically March to May) because there is no immigrant labor to harvest the crops.

The only question is how Trump will blame Biden when the merchandise that manufacturers ordered for the fourth quarter arrives, they pay the tariffs, and [italic]then[/italic] raise their prices... just in time for Christmas.
