I hope Tom wins the Tony!
I was molested by Tom Poston.

R1, essentially: "Why are we talking about a young person I don't know? I must bring the conversation back to people who may have been relevant back in 1975 immediately!"

Saw the show last week. He was phenomenal.

6' 2"! Very commanding on stage with that stature, voice, and confidence. Love!

OP. what are ur picks for the Tony's tomorrow night?
I am hoping Conrad Ricamora wins for Oh Mary, and I wouldn't mind if Clooney wins, but I would rather see Cole win for Oh Mary.
I am rooting for Mia Farrow; I know snowballs chance in HELL but Fuck it, it's only 100 dollars. I liked The Roommate.
Nicole for SB, why not? Audra got 6 of them-spread them out!

R6, I am of course rooting for Tom. He is the breakout male star. My second choice would be Jeremy Jordan.
Audra was fantastic, but I think Nicole might take it. Boop's Amy Rogers might slip in for a win.
I agree that Cole and Conrad will win.
Best Musical: Maybe Happy Ending
Best Revival: Sunset Boulevard

Cole better win!

I liked Francis in the show, but I doubt he will stay in theater for long, probably has his eye on TV/movies where the money is good for a young, hunky guy.
And I know he won the Olivier, but I don’t think he has a chance in hell of a Tony, the competition is too fierce.

As long as it's not "I'm Str8 Miss Darren Criss", anyone else except her.

T10. That bitch is insufferable on so many levels.

Did anyone fancy fellow Brit James Corden to win over Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Frank Langella, James Earl Jones and John Lithgow?
Talk about an under dog!

I hope youre right, R12.

R14 - Fuck...I forget how handsome that lad is.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 7, 2025 9:26 PM |
r7, was Nicole that good?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 7, 2025 9:29 PM |
Yes. 2 standing ovations before the end.

I give Francis credit for a comparatively original take on Joe in terms of musical theatre, because it felt very noir and very Holden, to me. You got a sense of a guy squeezed in a vice and bitter and beaten down enough to get caught in the first place. And that important laugh. Don't know if that was direction or his idea, but it was a great call.

I hope that Cole Escola does not show up in a dress. Jesus Christ.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | June 7, 2025 9:56 PM |
Someone should write a Broadway play in which Tony nominated star Cole Escola is a heterosexual man who pretends to be a non binary sissy to abuse vulnerable women.

Loved Oh Mary, and the performances of both Cole and Conrad. But , for supporting actor, I’m rooting for Francis Jue, from Yellow Face. Lovely performance. BTW, Francis and Conrad are both gay.

Francis has an actress girlfriend.

Sorry, R21. I misread your post. Had in my head, my crush TOM.

Miss Cory Monteith had a GF too, and for 200 $$$& a bag of heroin, he would be anyone's GF.
