I don't know about the SNL skit but the ridiculous SAG speech turned me off of him permanently. That was some stupid weird shit. Any actor talking about wanting to be great is pathetic and cringe embarrassing. He sounded like he was introducing himself in an acting class.

That speech sunk his Oscar chances.

Oscar voting closed a week before the SAG awards and Brody was undeniable so I don't think the SAG speech would've had any impact. If the SAG speech happened before final voting closed, his team would've been scared shitless and pissed. His whole campaign was terrible. Somebody apparently didn't tell him that Kartrashian's AVN outfits and riding a bicycle to your UK premiere will not get you an Oscar.
