TIME TO SHINE
Many of you have asked and commented on my recent white/gray hairs peeking through. Truth be told, I started going gray over 20 years ago in my mid 20s. For a guy on TV and so young, it was hard to accept so I started to dye it. I kept covering it for the consistency of the television look/promotional photos/billboards. Over the last year it has been so hard to keep a consistent color now that my hair is more white than gray. Having to put chemicals in my hair every 2 weeks to cover it was burning my scalp and money being tossed out the window.
I feel liberated to show my true hair color, no longer have to wear a hat in the sun to prevent discoloration, and shedding hair due to the constant dying.
It will keep turning more white as the last of the dye comes through. It will take time for me to get used to, but I’m excited. Yes, it will age me a lot, but age in my book is only a number. I now look like my dad 😁
