Almost the entire town either knows or suspects that Gio, and that's going to lessen the impact of the reveal whenever that happens. The only reaction that matters at this point is Tracy's.

This woman was in a coma for four years and they should really mine what that has done to her. Instead they’ve transplanted the worst of Carly onto her and made her the town wrecking ball. So much focus on Kai, a character who hasn't caught on, has no charisma and can't act. While Dr. Isaiah Gannon who can act and has good chemistry with many is relegated to popping in once a week to tell stilted Sonny to take his meds.

Frank's priorities sure are messed up.

Keep hearing Isaiah has family on the horizon but it's been many months and nothing has transpired. By the time Frank and his writers haphazardly slap something together for Isaiah's backstory the momentum will be lost and no one will care.

Agree, R19. The actor play Isaiah is magical...sexy, emotive, and connects with his scene partners. Giving him a stunted romance with Jordan and tending to Sonny isn't enough. And the character of Kai is one-dimensional and predictable, and not helped by an untalented actor.

If there is one thing Frank excels at it is killing momentum.

Honestly, Trina is an adult…put her with Isaiah and get rid of Kai.

The problem is any criticism of Kai and/or Trina is considered racist.

I think that Trina actress is horrible and has always been horrible and was carried by Nicholas and Avery in her scenes. Kai is like watching paint dry and a cop out to give in to GH's racist fans.

For the record there is a difference between not liking a performance and racism. The actress who plays Trina is just not good.

Jonathan Jackson could have been an Oscar contender. I really believe that. His acting on GH (his early years) were amazing. Dealing with the rape of his mother and his anger at his father. Discovering his mother married into the Cassadine Family and given birth to his older brother. Every scene was amazing. But he found religion. And sadly Hollywood isn't a place for morality and clothing.

The sad truth is he doesn't belong on GH anymore. Sad.

As much as I complained about the super-long build up to the Gio paternity reveal, as well as Lulu turning into a shrew because of it, I have been LOVING the payoff now that the secret is finally out. Great episodes in the past week and a half.

Likewise, as detached as I thought I was to caring about the fallout of the dragged out reveal -- I mean, Gio started on the show a year ago at Brooklynn and Chase's wedding and it was obvious from the start he was Brooklyn and Dante's child -- I have been so anxious to see how each of the characters involved reacted now that the secret is out. So many people on the canvas affected by this reveal!

Bravo to GH for pulling it off and giving a great payoff.

And kudos to GH writers for remembering its history -- everything from the quick reference to Olivia's brief psychic period to the fact Sonny didn't learn about Dante until Dante was an adult.

My only complaint -- what is this clown outfit Brooklyn is wearing?

I agree the reveal and payoff was excellent and the acting superb.

I do wish they had created better conflict between Gio and Dante or alternatively between Gio and BLQ or even Rocco. The conflict came too late and the reason for it was ridiculous and over the top, Gio wasn't responsible for Rocco's drinking.

Long buildup can be frustrating but these are the kinds of stories that really draw people in.

It also gave Gio's portrayer a year to learn how to act.

Gio's connection was always to the Cerullo family and Bensonhurst. He came to town as related to Lois and Brooklyn, while Olivia and Dante had known him since he was a baby.

It was obvious from the get-go, Gio was going to be connected to them.

However, Patrick intended for Giovanni to biologically be Drew's son, presumably with his mother still being Camilla. There was a scene where Giovanni said that Jason looked familiar, which was a nod to Drew originally having the same face. The Cerullo connection wasn't going to be changed, only the connection through Palmieri side of his family tree. There weren't any maternal instincts from Brook Lynn towards Giovanni, nor any direct indication that Dante was his father while Mulcahey was still the co-hw. Brook Lynn and Cody originally didn't know each other when Cody first arrived in town. The rewrites came after CVE was reinstated as co-hw with Korte.

Should add that Brook Lynn and Cody knowing each other as teens from CVE/Korte was a rewrite of CVE and DOC's original story of Cody arriving, for they were the hw's when he first met Brook Lynn.

Why is anyone still mentioning Patrick Mulcahey? He’s a nasty, miserable old perv who could never her along with anyone except Marland. Geez. Wonder why. Mulcahey is so over.

When Noah (Rory) first hit Genoa City he was having a lot of one night stands---but the actual hookups weren't shown. Sharon was worried Noah was being too promiscuous. I really thought he was going to turn out to be hooking up with guys. But the show didn't go in that direction. I immediately checked out of GC.

What general age range are Dante, Brook Lynn, and Cody supposed to be in? 40ish? Were Brook Lynn and Dante always around the same age?

Originally, Dante was referenced as being slightly older than Brook Lynn; they knew each other as teens, but Brook Lynn was closer to Lulu's age, who's going to be 37 in August, since she was born in 1988. Without SORAS'ing, Brook Lynn was born in 1996 and Lulu in 1994.

Assuming Brook Lynn got pregnant at age 16, that means she's now 38.

Assuming Dante was 17 when he was at summer camp and got her pregnant, that means he's now 39.

While there ages were never explicitly stated before, when Dante arrived, it seemed that he was 7-10 years older than Brook Lynn.

Thus with the Gio reveal, Dante has been deSORASED by 7-10 years.

I loved some of Guza’s GH. He could write the hell out of a Sonny exit story. If JJ leaves I’ll be sad but maybe it’s time to accept his Lucky doesn’t work and get GV back. R419 No Tajh actually broke up with her after the incident, though not exactly right away. He ended up dating another girl and stayed friends with Haley, even though there was a slight skirmish, allegedly, between Tajh and Nancy Lee. That would've been an interesting form of solidarity, however he was fired. Isaiah's arrival pretty much sealed TJ's future, but another reason was that Frank wanted Molly with Cody, therefore both guys that the writers were planning to have her indecisive over, TJ and Dex, had to go. Eden's request to have an action adventure storyline with a new love interest didn't exactly help matters with Dex either.
