I mean, we all know the real reason for this is that he's been calling out the incompetent geriatrics at the top and trying to oust the worthless consultants , but how in the wide world of fuck did they come up with this comically inane excuse?

The DNC is beyond help. Please burn it all down and piss on the ashes.

by Anonymousreply 1May 13, 2025 6:49 PM

The DNC is not saving us. They're complicit.

by Anonymousreply 2May 13, 2025 6:56 PM

Who the fuck is running the DNC that thought this was a good idea?

by Anonymousreply 3May 13, 2025 6:56 PM

We need a true labor party.

by Anonymousreply 4May 13, 2025 6:57 PM

A move back to the center is necessary to win in the future. Show the extremist the door or we’re doomed.

I hope common sense prevails.

by Anonymousreply 5May 13, 2025 7:06 PM

A guy who wants legislation to prevent future school shootings that killed his classmates is hardly extreme.

by Anonymousreply 6May 13, 2025 7:07 PM

R5, a move to the left would actually be a move to the center for the DNC.

by Anonymousreply 7May 13, 2025 7:08 PM

R5 What in the actual fucking fuck do you mean "center"? The DNC literally ran on Trump's 2020 immigration plan as the centerpiece of Kamala's campaign to court the suburban whites. How much more "center" could they possibly go?

Just say you want the country rid of every goddamn minority but the white gays. That'll totally work out splendidly for your kind.

by Anonymousreply 8May 13, 2025 7:12 PM

I guess I can continue to trash all the emails and texts I get begging for money from every craptastic Democrat, even if they aren't running for anything.

And least you can accuse the Democrats of being consistent: consistently mediocre.

by Anonymousreply 9May 13, 2025 7:12 PM

R5 probably thinks the DNC is "too woke" because of something he read online from some leftist activist who probably doesn't even vote. These are the same idiots who say "Kamala went on and on about the trans nonsense" or "Kamala said 'defund the police'" because they're too stupid to differentiate between something they saw online that they didn't agree with, and the corporate toadies and billionaire elitists who make up the DNC. These people really believe that Democratic lawyers who are fully owned by AIPAC are the same as "anti-semitic radicals on college campuses." They're too dumb to take seriously. They're not even "blue MAGA," they're just MAGA with a veneer of deniability.

by Anonymousreply 10May 13, 2025 7:17 PM

We call...BS!!!

by Anonymousreply 11May 13, 2025 7:18 PM

An indication of how jumbled and damaged out politics are is to think that the DNC is "left"... it's pretty much owned by the corporate special interests and the consultancy class. Hogg was a little too full of himself, but this removal under the guise of identity-speak is a ruse simply to maintain the status quo. Which makes money for some but manages to lose national elections it should win with ease.

Too left? child, the DNS are corporatists hiding in the sheep's clothing of "gender" et. al.

by Anonymousreply 12May 13, 2025 7:21 PM

They're running from the Trans community, throwing them under the bus. Anyone claiming they're "too left" is full-blown MAGA.

by Anonymousreply 13May 13, 2025 7:29 PM

Damn Zoomers really can't hold down a job! Even their best and brightest...

by Anonymousreply 14May 13, 2025 7:48 PM

Fuck the DNC. I will never again support these Old Guard turds. We're going to keep losing elections as long as they are in charge.

Chuck, Nancy, et al. get the hell out of the way.

by Anonymousreply 15May 13, 2025 7:54 PM

Trump must have paid someone off. Trump and MAGA were scared to death of Hogg.

by Anonymousreply 16May 13, 2025 7:58 PM

Yeah R16 that or Hogg must have pissed someone off bigly

by Anonymousreply 17May 13, 2025 8:01 PM

It would be different if this wasn’t the first case of the DNC being literally too old and out of touch. This is what happens when people in their 70s and 80s refuse to retire because they think they know best.

by Anonymousreply 18May 13, 2025 8:07 PM

Treat this organization as if it wants Dems to lose.

by Anonymousreply 19May 13, 2025 8:14 PM

R8 R10 Stop gaslighting R5.

There was never any real hope for Kamala’s campaign because her political identity was already defined, fairly or not, by four years as Biden’s VP. Any policy she put forward was going to be overshadowed by that legacy. You can’t run as a fresh voice when you’ve spent four years defending the status quo.

R5 is absolutely correct and since the 90s, both Democratic Presidents Clinton and Obama broke the long White House Republican spell by appealing to the broad center.

Biden’s win was just a brief victory because everyone was exhausted and sick of Trump. But the truth is no one was thrilled by Biden or Kamala.

But you’re apart of the problem with the left right now. Cannot have any type of pragmatic conversation without being accused of being a Nazi or a Klan member over stating the obvious.

by Anonymousreply 20May 13, 2025 8:16 PM

Trump did not pay anyone off lol. Blue MAGA doesn't need Red MAGA to embrace undemocratic norms, they're quite eager to slip further into fascism on their own terms.

by Anonymousreply 21May 13, 2025 8:16 PM

The chaos and fighting within the Democratic Party has not even started yet. This is just a mild soft warmup. If you are a fan of civil wars you are going to be a big fan of what’s coming.,

by Anonymousreply 22May 13, 2025 8:24 PM

The challenge for the left is that the radical and logical wings often clash and can’t find common ground.

On the right, the radical and moderate factions seem to coexist better and not because they agree, but because moderates prioritize things like taxes, regulation, or tradition, which keeps them aligned with the party even when the fringe goes extreme.

The left hasn’t figured out how to manage that balance. You can even have two liberals having a debate without one being called a MAGA or a Nazi.

by Anonymousreply 23May 13, 2025 8:25 PM

R20, where do you see accusations of being "a Nazi" or "a Klan member?"

Are the accusations in the room with us right now?

Is "gaslighting" what you call it when someone disagrees with you?

by Anonymousreply 24May 13, 2025 8:30 PM

R22 Let’s be 100%. Today’s so-called ‘centrists’ are just pre-2010s liberal Democrats.

Supporting same-sex marriage, affordable healthcare, reasonable gun laws, and yes, even having a functional border policy used to be standard liberal positions.

Now, because some voices on the far left reject anything short of open borders or total de-policing, these basic stances get smeared as ‘right-wing.’ The goalposts have moved so far that common sense is treated like betrayal.

Identity politics, at least the way it’s been weaponized, has hurt the left more than it’s helped. It’s alienated working-class voters who used to be the base of the Democratic Party. Instead of focusing on broad, unifying economic and social issues, too much of the left is caught up in online purity tests and niche activism. Meanwhile, Republicans stick to a simple message and win.

by Anonymousreply 25May 13, 2025 8:32 PM

Liberals dont have to go centrist. Unless centrist means cutting out the orthodox woke, in which case, yeah you do. Democrats have to know they arent going to win with that bullshit.

by Anonymousreply 26May 13, 2025 8:42 PM

R24 No gaslighting is accusing people of racism and sexism when they say something as simple as Democrats need to be more centrist.

Don’t play dumb.

by Anonymousreply 27May 13, 2025 8:47 PM

R12 gets it. People need to stop letting themselves be fooled. The DNC in other countries would be considered right wing. Because it is. They use identity politics to make themselves heroic but it's mostly lip service, but ESPECIALLY because the more divided people are the harder it is for the actual classes to organize and get together and fight for their rights.

by Anonymousreply 28May 13, 2025 8:52 PM

[quote]Fuck the DNC

The NDP up here is just as bad now. I remember when they still had common sense and weren't infiltrated by insane people.

by Anonymousreply 29May 13, 2025 8:55 PM

David needs to spend his time eating. The boy is wasting away to nothing.

by Anonymousreply 30May 13, 2025 9:00 PM

The democratic party needs to stop courting Republicans and start worrying about the large number of people who sit at home every election because they feel both parties are the same. Aligning with W. Bush and Liz Cheney is not the way to go.

And Joe Biden needs to sit down right now. No one wants to hear him bitch and moan and get his ego stroked. Hillary had a much worse scenario but even took accountability and knew when to bow out with dignity. Biden blames everyone else and has the hubris to throw Harris under the bus by saying he would have won had he stayed in the race. Enough already.

by Anonymousreply 31May 13, 2025 9:32 PM

Same as it ever was. My dad was born in 1939 and one of his favorite sayings about politics was "Republican or Democrat...same shit, different piles" I never really knew what he meant until the last decade .

by Anonymousreply 32May 13, 2025 9:42 PM

I love this idea that the Democratic Party is this wild-eyed leftist organization that has gotten so crazy out of hand that it's time for Brave and Noble Conservative Democrats to step in and make everything right, and far right, again.

Horseshit. It's barely been left of center since the Clintons came to town.

Especially hilarious that this fuckery and nonsense is all playing out in a time when the Republican Party has absolutely lost its everloving, motherfucking, lordycometojesus, Trumpismygodking mind.

And for those who look back fondly to the halcyon days when there was an overwhelming consensus around a few liberal ideals, like civil rights and making life better for most people, you don't know what the fuck you are talking about. Everyone loves that shit decades after they happen. At the time, not so much.

by Anonymousreply 33May 13, 2025 10:01 PM

Okay Boris

by Anonymousreply 34May 13, 2025 10:19 PM

Really, whore, that's what you're going with r34?

by Anonymousreply 35May 13, 2025 10:24 PM

"The claim is partially accurate but not final. A DNC panel recommended nullifying David Hogg’s election as vice chair due to gender diversity rule violations, but the full DNC must approve this for him to be ousted. No final decision has been made as of May 13, 2025. The issue stems from procedural concerns raised by Kalyn Free, alleging discrimination against women of color. However, Hogg’s plan to fund primary challenges against Democratic incumbents has created party tension, which may influence perceptions of the situation."

by Anonymousreply 36May 13, 2025 10:30 PM

Kalyn Cherie Free is an American attorney, former elected district attorney, and a tribal citizen of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. She is the first woman and Native American to be elected district attorney in Oklahoma. Free represents Oklahoma as the National Committeeperson on the Democratic National Committee. Does she just dislike Ms Hogg?

by Anonymousreply 37May 14, 2025 1:14 AM

As R36 said, the vote hasn't happened yet.

It also doesn't just involve Hogg. Kenyatta will have to be voted in again too and he likely will.

If enough people flip during the revote, then Hogg is done. It's also possible he may still get the chair back if members don't throw enough votes to other candidates.

by Anonymousreply 38May 14, 2025 1:26 AM

The ones here claiming the DNC or the Democratic Party are "too woke" should be Republicans. They would be Republicans if the Republicans would have them.

Or maybe they just *are* Republicans. OR - better yet - they're THE DNC. Either way, same difference. The parties' bases, platforms and messaging are definitely different, but the leadership, that is the DNC and RNC, are largely the same. Fiscally and socially conservative, corporate, classist, elitist, and, above all, extremely wealthy compared to the average American.

by Anonymousreply 39May 14, 2025 3:25 AM

R33 BULLSHIT.

Are we forgetting the super predators and 1994 Crime Bill?

Obama was called Deporter-in-Chief. Trump’s mission is to break Obama’s deportation record.

And Obama was anti-same sex marriage upon his first election.

Let’s not all rewrite history.

by Anonymousreply 40May 14, 2025 7:09 AM

R33 Brave and Noble Conservative Democrats?

by Anonymousreply 41May 14, 2025 7:10 AM

And not only that, Obama chose Biden VP because Biden was known for being a conservative Democrat and he needed a balance for being black.

Clinton’s 1994 Crime Bill, Welfare Reform, Defense of Marriage Act, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, 1033 Program would all be considered Project 2025 today.

Obama’s moves with immigration, surveillance, executive power, and military force, mirrored or even expanded tools that would now be championed by Project 2025-style conservatives.

by Anonymousreply 44May 14, 2025 7:19 AM

Are Hogg and Musk planning to primary and try to oust the same dem incumbents or different ones?

by Anonymousreply 45May 14, 2025 8:15 AM

The election was stolen

The election was stolen

The election was stolen

by Anonymousreply 46May 14, 2025 8:42 AM

R44 Have you actually read Project 2025? Are you paying attention to what's happening now that is the implementation of Project 2025? Nothing you list even remotely matches the destructive extremism of Project 2025. This kind of overblown "yeah what about" ism is central to our cultural/political problem today.
