WHAT??
by Anonymous | reply 2 | May 12, 2025 10:44 PM |
Why can’t we happily let people choose to die with dignity?

Doesn’t Holland have that? Doctor assisted to make sure no one is being coerced.

Nothing in the article clearly states if this particular woman died in a 3-D printed pod, or that a couple chose to die in one another’s arms.
Some people no longer want to be here. They’ve probably tried everything possible to do so, & they’re just not into staying alive, & of course, there are those who have been diagnosed with what one day will become crippling dementia, Alzheimer’s, Lou Gehrig’s Disease, Parkinson’s, extremely painful & terminal cancer, etc.
If they want to head on out? It should remain their choice.

That article was useless.

r7 Near as I can tell the police thought they'd strangled the person after the pod failed which would obviously have edged into murder territory. Further investigation made them decide it probably wasn't homicide and they released everyone involved back in December.

Frankly, as long as MAGA is around, I don’t want legalization of suicide in this country. Legal suicide could slide into justifiable forced euthanasia too easily. These are people who are fine with sending other people off to hellish prisons in third world shithole countries without due process. These are people who shoot innocent, helpless dogs - and brag about it.

nothing and I mean NOTHING that can't be turned into a Trump thread. Kudos girlfriend.

That looks like a giant-sized Office Depot mini-stapler.

Do they sell gift certificates?

I saw these at the mall near The Abortion Hut.

How excited some people are to trap souls on this planet. They deeply believe the lives of others are at their disposal due to the serendipitous force of destiny or the will of whatever deity they can manufacture. Then that belief so easily slides right into exploitation, abortion bans, forced birthing and a little blatant slavery here and there.

Is the “suicide pod” theme song sung to the tune of “animal house?”
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 13, 2025 6:18 AM |
Of course not, please give it some dignity r16.. They slip this mortal coil to the theme from M*A*S*H
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 13, 2025 6:32 AM |
But r17, animal house is a drip fit. Same number of syllables.

I don’t know about you, but I want to go out tapping my toe.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | May 13, 2025 6:46 AM |
The pod looks like a snowmobile with the skis removed.

I love you, R11.
