Unfortunately, the Supreme Court says that community standards determine whether something that might otherwise be considered obscene has any artistic value. I strongly suspect that the community standards of the 1970s were much more lax than the community standards of today.

I think it would be very, very difficult to prove that community standards in practice these days don't overwhelmingly approve of porn r15. If places like pornhub can just show how many community members are accessing their site every day, and this is a time in history when they can probably do that, I think they would win overwhelmingly. And that goes for EVERY community with internet access. There was a funny story a while back about North Koreans finding themselves in Ukraine fighting for Russia, and how many of them discovered the wonders of porn and became addicted.
