Tom Hardy is falling apart!

As Tom Hardy grows older, he's facing the bodily breakdowns that come along with aging with as much grace as one can.

While chatting with Esquire in a brand new profile, the beloved actor shared a candid glimpse at his many "bodily ailments," telling interviewer Miranda Collinge that he's come to accept that things are "not going to get better."

The 47-year-old detailed his painful medical history, involving two knee surgeries, a herniated disc, sciatica, and plantar fasciitis, to start. "Where did that come from? And why? Why?!" he said in frustration.

Damn, he must be in pain.

What is the good of the strongest heart in a body that's falling apart?

A serious flaw, oh my Creator!

by Anonymousreply 2May 11, 2025 11:27 AM

I'd willingly offer my services as masseur, sucker, rimmer....

by Anonymousreply 3May 11, 2025 11:28 AM

Honestly… so fucking relatable.

I did all the healthy things, but some of this is just a high-stakes dice roll with some cruel possibilities.

Plantar fasciitis? Isn’t that something you get from wearing Ill-fitting shoes and that you can permanently cure by giving your feet rest for less than a week?

by Anonymousreply 5May 11, 2025 11:39 AM

As a product of London's artistic upper middle-class, if he'd stuck to "Masterpiece Theatre" TV and film, and the Legitimate Theatre on stage, he'd be in good health. John Gielgud was in his 90s and still working as a spry elder.

But he decided he was going to be a "bovver boy" and have that kind of career, also thinking he could become a mixed martial artiste and not suffer any physical damage. Stupid git.

No, you can't, R5. You can prevent it with podiatry, but once it sets in nothing will fix it unless a cortisone injection works (it doesn't always). They can put the foot in a moonboot to rest it, but the pain subsides when it feels like it. It often takes 3 months. I have twice had it last a year.

But why, at 47, he's got all those other ailments beats me. He must have been doing lots of exercise, or stunts, without proper advice.

This is transparently false. I had plantar fasciitis in my 20s from excessive walking in loose-fitting shoes. It cured itself through rest of the feet. Obviously, this is anecdotal and not representative of all cases but a simple search of the internet confirms the vast majority of cases resolve themselves without injections. As explained I. Wikipedia:

“ About 90% of plantar fasciitis cases improve within six months with conservative treatment,[9] and within a year regardless of treatment.

The recommended first treatment is a four- to six-week course which combines three elements: daily stretching, daily foot taping (using a special tape around the foot for supporting the arch) and individually tailored education on choosing footwear and other ways of managing the condition.”

I developed it a few months back due to 12+ years of using my left foot to hold down the pedal on the forklifts I use at work. Each step feels like a knife going into the bottom of my foot.

Resting up helps but guess what... I have to work and after getting back on the lift I'm in pain again.

R8, R5 said it could be cured by resting the feet for less than a WEEK. If you can, it wasn't plantar fasciitis.

by Anonymousreply 10May 11, 2025 12:52 PM

Yes it can be.

by Anonymousreply 11May 11, 2025 12:57 PM

Who gives a shit. He’s a bore.

by Anonymousreply 12May 11, 2025 1:01 PM

R9, wrap your foot arch and ankle in duct tape. YouTube has videos showing how.

by Anonymousreply 13May 11, 2025 1:12 PM

He's too short for that look.

He's too short for any look.

But I love him.

by Anonymousreply 14May 11, 2025 1:42 PM

I'd heard bareback anal sex is a good cure, and if Tom's willing I'll happily top him until he's cured.

by Anonymousreply 15September 17, 2025 7:43 AM

Here he is 8 years ago complaining of having wrecked his body by various periods of extreme bulking up for film roles.

Gaining a huge percentage of your existing bodyweight to look like a very unhealthy comic book 'roid freak, and then doing it repeatedly has to take some toll I should think.

The rubber band doesn't always snap back to its original state.

remember when he 1/2 came out for 10 minutes?

by Anonymousreply 17September 17, 2025 9:27 AM

Tell us more R17

by Anonymousreply 18September 17, 2025 9:35 AM

I can relate. My fibromyalgia makes me tender to the touch.

by Anonymousreply 19September 17, 2025 10:05 AM

I was diagnosed with PF 15 years ago.

I had cortisone injections every few weeks for about 6 months, & it never came back.

That stated, I no longer wear shoes without high arch support if I’m walking for an extended period of time.

Same with sciatica. Had it a few time, and it’s gone. When it first developed, I did cold & hot packs regularly for a week.

Did the article include photos of his prolapsed colon?

[quote]The 47-year-old

I scoff at his tiny age.

by Anonymousreply 22September 17, 2025 11:40 AM

Hardy has been coquettish for years about his bisexuality. To my knowledge he's never come right out and said, but he often talks about incidents and relationships that clearly indicate he is no stranger to cock love.

He's hot AF (even now) but I get the feeling he's a mental mess and would grow tiresome for more than a one-nighter.

by Anonymousreply 23September 17, 2025 11:47 AM

R19 = Random lesbian.

by Anonymousreply 24September 17, 2025 12:16 PM

All broken down and middle aged, Tom Hardy has the good fortune to still be attractive.

by Anonymousreply 25September 17, 2025 12:23 PM

R23 - I'll happily settle for a one-nighter.

by Anonymousreply 26September 17, 2025 1:05 PM

His big hot ass can fall right onto my face.

by Anonymousreply 27September 17, 2025 1:11 PM

Sciatica is temporary and can easily be cured by looking up treatment online. I bought a leg/knee wrap from Amazon and it was a miracle cure. It’s really not a condition to moan “woe is me” about.
