Tasteful Friends: Barbara Corcoran Lists Her N.Y.C. Penthouse for $12 Million
Barbara Corcoran is ready to swim with new sharks.
On Thursday, May 8, the Shark Tank personality announced on Instagram that she is selling her New York City penthouse. The home, which Corcoran originally paid $10 million for when she purchased it in 2015, per The New York Times, has been listed for $12 million.
According to an Instagram post from the Corcoran Group — the real estate firm Corcoran founded —the home on Fifth Avenue is an 11-room duplex that includes four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and two half baths and is described as "what dreams are made of."
In her announcement referencing The New York Times' May 6 report, Corcoran explained that she and her husband, Bill Higgins, "have decided a one-story home would better suit us, and it’s time to begin our next chapter."
She also passionately recalled the story of when she first visited and first fell in love with the two-story property.

Coincidentally, just a few days before listing her $12M penthouse, Corocoran sat down for an interview and said despite high mortgage rates, "Now is a good time to buy a house." Hers in particular, I'm sure.

Something's wrong. She's been there ten years, redid the whole apartment, and is listing it at just $2M more than what she bought it for a decade ago ? Does that even cover the investments in renovations ? And if she doesn't get asking, will she lose money on it ?
This past January, she lost her property in the LA fires - a double wide trailer she bought at $800,000 and loved in when she was in LA for 'Shark Tank'.

Boring as fuck and --the too frequent curse of a oenthouse-- low ceilings.
I've seen various videos of the place in the last few years and it's big, well located, and boring (and not just her horrible decor, the architecture of the place.)
