Stranger Things Fans Are Getting Sick of waiting for Season 5

It's been three years since the previous season of Stranger Things. Back then, I used to talk to someone at work about the show. I still work with that person, but we had a falling out and haven't spoken in two years. People in my life have died. I have a different boss. Skinny jeans have gone out of style. How long is too long to wait between seasons?? I was once very into this show but I honestly don't really care now. HBU?
