Did anyone see this film?
It was very, very disturbing and bleak. It had a Taxi Driver element to it.
I am unsure if this film could have had any Oscar consideration due to all the claims againt Jonathan Majors-
However, if this guy had not been revealed to be an abuser- I suspect he would have had a chance for Best Actor-
It was a completely committed performance and insanely hardcore. I suspect whatever -issues- this gentleman may or may not carry around was utilized in this role.
It was an extremely good performance and a film I would never want to watch again.
I supposed there is a -bare- glimmer of hope there, but this character never had much of a future.

It was a very strong role for Jonathan Majors and he gave it his all - which he has done in every film/series I've seen him in. It was brutal and wrenching film. It's the only film I've ever seen that filled me with dread to the extent that I debated walking out of the theater.
I agree that it has a "Taxi Driver" film with it. I saw faint similarities to "The Substance".

R1- I almost said a mix of Taxi Driver and The Substance and figured I would be bitched out. YES!!!!!!! Even the last 15 minutes in a way is similar to The Substance!
R2- Streaming- Check out Amazon, ect...
The committment (sp?) this guy gave is probably one of the Top 25 committed performances I have seen in my lifetime- akin to Deniro in Raging Bull, Charlize in Monster---
