In my family, and it seems like many families I've known, the younger siblings of the same gender are taller. Is that how it is in your family?
sibling height

True in my family. My younger brother is probably a little over 6 feet and I'm 5' 10".

I’m the thrust boy and the tallest by at least an inch.

I thought it was accepted common knowledge.

My older brother is 6’8”. I’m 6’6”. So…. no.

My oldest brother is 5'10, second oldest is 6'3 and I'm 6'1.

Four siblings, from oldest to youngest...6'5", 6'7", 5'3", 5'10".

The 4 boys in my family. 6'1 1/2, 6', 5'11 3/4, 5'11 1'2. The 2nd boy is the tallest, but not by much. I'm the third and the shortest, but not by much. I would say this notion is an urban legend.

I'm the youngest. My older brother is 6'2", I only grew to 5'9 1/2". He took after my father's family height, and I took after my mother's family height. Height has nothing to do with the sequence of whether you're an older sibling or a younger sibling. Just like being sexuality has no bearing on where you fall in the sibling hierarchy.

I have no idea whether this is true or not, but it was the case that the second was taller than the first with my two half-brothers, and my sons.

It’s random. I’m 2” taller than my younger brother and have seen it go equally in both directions.

I’m 5’6”. My younger brother is 6’ tall, followed by two more brothers who are 5’10” tall.

My brothers are roughly the same height. My older sister is about the same height as my brothers and much taller than me. My maternal aunt is taller than my mom. My mom is three years older but my aunt was towering over her by the time she started school. I’ve got five uncles and four aunts on my dad’s side. The youngest sister and a middle sister are the tallest. The oldest and youngest brothers are tied for the tallest. With my kids my oldest daughter will probably be the tallest and it’s too early to predict with my boys.

As the oldest of five, I'm the tallest.
I don't recall stealing anyone's food when growing up.

Older brother 5’11” (moderate loss of hair)
Middle brother 6’ (GORGEOUS full head of hair which needs cutting every 2 weeks)
Younger brother 6’2” (most loss of hair)
