Warren Buffett defends his love of Coke and lack of exercise, "still here at 94"
Seated with two cans of Coca-Cola and a box of See's Candies on the table in front of him, the billionaire investor and Berkshire CEO pointed to his advanced age as evidence that eating like a child hasn't done him any great harm.
Buffett has previously said he grabs McDonald's for breakfast on his drive to work, drinks five cans of Coke a day, and devours Dairy Queen ice cream. He's known for loving unhealthy foods such as hot dogs, fries, popcorn, cookies, and candy.
"I think happiness makes an enormous amount of difference in terms of longevity," Buffett said in a 2023 interview. "And I'm happier when I'm drinking Coke or eating hot fudge sundaes or hot dogs."

[quote]"I think happiness makes an enormous amount of difference in terms of longevity,"
And having a boatload of money helps with that happiness.

There is no way drinking 5 cans of coke doesn't affect your health. It's too much sugar plus ice cream???

Buffett is a walking dead man. His blood pressure and cholesterol must be off the charts.

Warren Buffett is a billionaire who has so far lived to be 94 years old.
I'd say he has already won at life.
What ever life he has left, is just the cherry on top.

Carrie Fisher drank twelve cans of Coke a day, so I think Buffett may be on to something with regards to Coke and longevity.

About 10 % of the population has what's often referred to as the immorality gene. These people are born with the lucky ability to do whatever they want: smoke cigarettes, drink, eat red meat, whatever... and they can live to be 100.
Another 10% of the population has the opposite genetic disposition. No matter how well they take care of themselves, they won't make it past 50 or so.
The rest of us all depend on our life style choices to stay alive. You only find you which genetic disposition you have either when you die, or when you outlives everyone despite eating nothing but crap all day. As Buffett does.
Talk about a lucky guy.

If he doesn’t have any vices, that might be part of it. He doesn’t seem to live too extravagantly. I’ve driven past his home in Omaha, it’s in a middle to upper-middle class neighborhood and the only way you can tell is slightly more surveillance cameras pointed toward the property. The house couldn’t be worth much more than a million or so.

[quote] "At 94 years of age, I've been able to drink whatever I like to drink," Buffett said, picking up one of his Coke cans. People have long issued dire warnings about the dangers of a soda habit, but Buffett said it didn't seem to be a problem for him or his late business partner, Charlie Munger, who lived to 99.
[quote] "Charlie and I never exercised all that much — we focused on preserving ourselves carefully," Buffett quipped, sparking peals of laughter in the audience. Business Insider was reporting live at the event from a press box stocked with a variety of See's chocolates and a fridge full of sodas.
[quote] He pointed to the wear and tear on professional athletes' bodies as a good reason not to join a baseball or basketball team, saying it showed the potential risks of too much exercise.
He sounds like a cute old man, with a good sense of humor.
I'd like to be friends with him.

R14 Buffet has for decades told the world that he prefers to invest in blue chip stocks with universal brand name recognition. Coca Cola & McDonald’s certainly fall into that category.

Bill Clinton was smart to ditch the fast food diet and go vegan - I doubt he’d have made it to 75 if he hadn’t kicked his McDonald’s habit, but he still got a loyal customer plaque at a Little Rock McD’s.

Now can the "Trump will die any day because he eats McDonald's" chorus STFU?

My mom is 96, she has always consumed lots of sugar daily. She also has this weird idea that aspirin is a sort of vitamin so she takes 4 to 6 daily. Her kidney function is normal, a lifetime of aspirin over use and excessive sugar consumption would damage most people's kidneys but not hers.
