He'll never be fired. He'll be forced to resign 'to be closer to his family.'
What will Pete Hegseth do when he implodes as SecDef?

OP, didn't you say last week that Hegseth's collapse is complete?

R1, OP’s Hegseth obsession needs constant feeding.

Same thing he does every day. He'll have drink. Or two. Or three. Or four.
Only difference is he'll be able to do it in public rather than alone.

He can consider this post an open invitation to come fuck my brains out in a drunken rage if and when that day comes.

It's okay Mr. Hegseth. I can count to 100 so you can have lots more!

The scary thing about these sociopaths is the more storms they are able to weather the better at weathering storms they become. Having survived Signalgate (because he has survived) has only made him better at knowing how to survive storms. It’s like the Karoline Leavitt effect. In the beginning she was flying crazy by the seat of her pants. Now that she knows what she can say and get away with, she lies like a fucking pro her sleep. She will say the craziest shit with 100% confidence, no shame, dodging challenging questions with lies or nonsense - because she now knows she won’t be challenged. Pete is the same and is stronger now too.

R1 Nope. I know the thread to which you refer and I replied to that thread that it would take at least a year for him to be cast aside. He's going to be SecDef for at least one year, and then --- adios!

R6 I agree in part. He may learn from his mistakes but he's still vulnerable to new ones.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 3, 2025 5:14 PM |
Because he doesn't have foresight or any type of forward thinking.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 3, 2025 5:15 PM |
Yes he’s vulnerable to new ones. But he is going to get better at hiding mistakes. I am sure everyone involved in signal gate, trying to warn the country about who these people are, never thought he would survive it. Now they’ve been rooted out. And he will become more adept at hiding.

Of course he will implode. Trump doesn’t care. He’ll name Hegseth to some other position he’s not qualified for.

I said on another thread that he gives me family annihilator vibes. Entitled mediocre white man, the definition of failing upward, a history of DV, alcoholic, always seems to be just barely containing his rage when questioned or challenged. He's going to explode at some point when he loses control.
